Typhoon Lagoon question

DD and I are thinking of taking in TL during our visit in 3 weeks... My original planned itinerary was for us to use our 5 day passes for 5 full theme park days, however, we had a change of plans and are now going to be at the resort 3/4 of the day on our "getaway" day. Here's my dilemma:

Should I take one of our "full" theme park days, and visit TL and then visit one or more parks on our getaway day (we would be leaving on ME somewhere around 4 pm), or should we visit TL on our last day?

I am thinking the last day would be perfect for this .....except, I am wondering if the shower facilities at TL are nice enough to get all "prettied up" for our flight home that night. Mostly, I just want to be able to shower and get dressed without much hassle, and possibly even be able to dry my hair.

Can anyone advise me???

The showers provided are decent enough I think. They have two curtain areas for each stall. One for changing and one for showering. They are fairly clean for a waterpark changing room. Disney has designated custodial each day that focuses solely on the changing room so they are decent enough I think. Hope that helps a little.

Thanks...that helps guide my decision. Another ??? Are there ever any characters at the waterparks? You always see them on the vacation and kids videos, but it's never mentioned in any of the guidebooks.

Goofy visits BB and Lilo and Stich visit TL, but only during the peak periods (Spring Break through Summer).

I'm assuming you have a 5 day MYW pass. These are only good at the 4 theme parks. The water parks are a separate ticket unless you've added the water parks and more option.
