Typhoon Lagoon newbie question

Never been to TL. Going at a busy time, so we will get there before opening. I just looked at the map-didn't realize how big this place is! Any suggestions as to where to set up camp? My dd's are too big for the kiddie area. Thanks in advance for your help.

From the holding area before it opens we went to the left and set up in the shade right in front of the wave pool. Hope this helps.

well we found this place near the river thing but while we were there (this was may-june) there were huge insects at the place and i don't know anywhere else because:
1.we don't like sand
2.we're not a fan of typhoon lagoon because of the types of flumes like the family ride is so different to the BB 1 because you have to carry the raft up instead of them already being at the top
