We will be visiting TL in a week, with 2- 2yo's, and was wondering how the kids area is at this water park? We've been several times before, but my dd was only 7mo when we took her the last time, and I can't remember what was in this area? Is there alot to do in the kiddy area? Is it a MUST that we should sit there?

Where is the best place to sit in TL when you have 2 little ones? Usually we stake out a great, quiet place to the left of the wave pool. However, we want to be somewhere where the kids can have fun, without having to walk around the whole time.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!! ::yes::

BUMP! I would love some info on this too! DS's are 2 and 4, we're leaving in 21 days!!!

I was there in 2002 with DW and DD (age 16 months). She just loved it! There is plenty for them to do, I think it is called KetchaKiddie Creek. We got to the TL at the opening and walked right to it and got some nice chairs. There is a mini slide and many, many other places for them to have fun and get wet! I highly recomend it!

great spot but BE CAREFULL!
When wave pool sends the big waves u get a wash of water movin in & out that could knock over the kids

Our favorite spot over there is to head to the right side of the Ketchakiddie Creek area and there are a couple of covered areas with tables and chairs under them. We always stake out there so the kids can take breaks and sit in the shade. If you don't want to sit solely in the kiddie area, there is a beach area between the kiddie area and the wave pool that would put you in a good location between the 2 things.

At 2 years old, my son's favorite thing in that area are the water cannons where you can squirt at each other. A couple of the cannons are on a ship in the middle of the area and it always makes for some funny pictures (just watch that your camera doesn't get squirted!!!).

They also have a couple of slides in the area - both body slides and tube slides. Whether your children will like them or not varies. My oldest son who was 3 the last time we went loves them.

If you have time, I would also recommend trying out Blizzard Beach. They have a fun kids area as well and you can also take your kids on the family raft ride (Teamboat Springs) which is a lot of fun and a pretty big thrill ride for the young ones (you just can't take infants on).

Have fun!

Oh wow that is great! You can actually take a 2 year old on a family raft ride? My little one is gonna love this!

Did you children wear life preservers?

Thanks!::MinnieMo

We just got back last week and spent a day at TL.

Katchakiddee Creek is where you should sit with 2 year olds. It is a great little water area for the little ones.

You can either bring your own life jackets or get loaners from the towel rental place. All you need to do is either leave a room key or credit card and they let you use them for free, but if you lose them they will charge you for them.

You won't need life jackets in the little kid area, but if you plan to do the 'wave' pool we found them helpful as the 'big waves' even could knock me down and I am 6'4" 280 pounds!!!

Have fun!
