Typhoon Lagoon in later afternoon?

We're visiting from Friday July 8-Tuesday July 12. I'd like to visit TL on Friday afternoon, around 3:30-4 until closing. I know the waterparks fill up and close by 11 some mornings, but are a lot of people leaving by early afternoon? Does anyone see a problem with trying to gain entry at 3:30-4? (The waterparks are open til 7:30 that night.)

I don't think you will have a problem. But remember, in July, Florida loves to have afternoon showers and t-storms (from 3-6pm). Just the time you would go to TL.

So, if this is your only plan, you may want to be a bit flexible to fit in a water park.

Something I still remember that was on an older resort TV channel was to go to the waterpark around 2 PM. Most day visitors will let out and a new set of visitors will arrive.

However, I would go in the morning.

Hi,
We went in the morning and I was surprised how VERY fast the park filled up. By 11:30 you had a tough time trying to find a place to sit down. On the flip side,alot of people come early and leave around the time you plan on arriving.I hope it works out for you,but my humble advice would be, go early!

We went to TL last Sunday and arrived around 2:30 and stayed until closing at 6pm... it seemed a lot of people were leaving when we arrived... we had no problems finding chairs and there were no waits for the slides. However, right before we arrived there was a brief thunderstorm that was probably the reason everyone was clearing out - but if I couldn't make it in the early morning, I would definitely go in the late afternoon again.

One trip, we went to BB every afternoon. It worked out just fine for us. You won't have your pick of chairs, but there should be some emptied by then. But, If you are just there for a few hours, you don't really need a chair anyways. Just dump your stuff in your locker. That's what we did. We actually only bothered grabbing chairs one time for a meeting place becuase we were splitting up.
