So we originally were going to get 5-day tickets for our August trip, but we booked with a travel agency and received an extra "bonus day" ticket that we can use at one of the water parks, and thought that we would just get 4-day tickets instead and use one of our other days on the water park. But now I'm second guessing that decision because I kind of would rather have more time in the other parks instead of one of the water parks. Plus, with it being August and HOT, do the water parks just get super packed? I'm not even sure if I could change back to 5-day tickets with my agent or not now that we are already booked, so it may not matter. I just tend to second guess A LOT. :/

Go there first thing in the morning or just a couple hours before closing. It seems generally manageable during those times.

We had the same deal last August with a bonus day attached. If they booked through Disney on your behalf they should be able to add another day on to make it a 5 day ticket, but I don't think you can get that in place of the bonus water park day. When we went last August it was our first time to do a water park and we chose BB. It was hot but the water was freezing, and we got there at rope drop and it was not very crowded at all. By mid day we were done and it was a bit more crowded at that time. I don't know that we would rush back to add a waterpark into our vacation any time soon, but it was a fun to try out. If you don't want to do the waterpark I think you can use it to play mini golf or something? Maybe if you would rather spend a day at one of the 4 parks instead you can just upgrade to a 5 day tix and use the bonus to do mini golf?

It will be somewhat crowded. However, if you're go on a weekday in late August with Florida kids back in school (so you eliminate the locals), it should be manageable. Just get there before opening, as mentioned. You'll get a couple of good hours.

We added the WP to our tickets this year for our August trip. Our plan is to go in the morning and spend a few hours, we will relax and just hang out. These are our off/chill days. We figure it will get busy in the afternoon and we will be done by then. If you have kids that will like the WP then keep the ticket and enjoy the day :flower1:

We will be there the 14-20th of August. Not sure about back to school dates in Florida. We have been to Typhoon Lagoon once, but my DH has never been. The kids loved it, of course, while I would rather be in the parks, or just at the resort pool. Of course when we were there before I spent the entire day there with my youngest in the wave pool as that was all she wanted to do.

I know we can't sub out the bonus WP ticket for a free park ticket, I just meant switch back to 5 days and either not use the bonus ticket or use it to maybe go for a couple of hours on our arrival day or something. I never know for sure what time we will actually arrive, so depending on time, it's a tossup between hanging at the resort and going to the pool or going to Downtown Disney (or I guess I should now say Disney Springs), but since we have a bonus ticket to use we may just use it on arrival day if there is enough time. We have never done DisneyQuest or mini golf there either, so I guess those are options too.
