Typhoon Lagoon Closings?

The WDW web site says that in Typhoon Lagoon Humunga Kowabunga and Storm Slides are closed from Jan. 13 to Dec. 31. I'm going on Sept. 15. DISboards doesn't list these as closed. Are these really closed? I'll be very disappointed if they are

Yes, I know Typhoon Lagoon is open. But the Disney web site calendar says Humunga Kowabunga and Strom Slides are closed until the end of the year. Is this true?

I saw this also, I called to try and have my water park option changed and explained to the rep that it said on disneys website that these areas are closed. She called over to Guest Services and they advised me that these are not closed. I just don't know why it would say it on the website.

Thanks. I couldn't understand how they could close 3 major attractions (Ketchakiddee is also listed as closed) in a relatively small park for an entire year!

i'm going in oct. and i was wondering about the same thing. i havent been to TL in years and wanted to go this time. good to know they arent all closed.
