Typhoon Lagoon closed?

Hi,

I am new to the boards, and am planning a family trip to Disney in march.

My sons were both looking forward to the water parks, but the Disney website shows TL closed for refurbishment until March 12.

We were planning on going the 11th! We leave the 12th.

Is there any chance they will open a week or a few days earlier than it says? They show it closed for almost 4 months. (dec 12 -mar 12)

Anyone have any idea of the chance it could possibly be open?

Welcome to the Dis sandraB! You can always go to Blizzard Beach instead.

Probably not open earlier, who knows though. Every year we go Blizzard Beach is always closed for refurb and Typhoon Lagoon is open. During the slow months, one is open and the other under rehab.

Hi and welcome! Try BB instead....refurbs usually last the entire time....

We were at WDW in March '02 when BB was closed for rehab. It's reopening date was the day we were leaving as well. Lucky for us we had a late flight out so we were able to spend 2 hours at BB before heading to the airport.
