Typhon lagoon to Epcot

I see TL now drops off at Epcot and then you need to take bus or Monorail to resort. Is it feasible to stop in Epcot before going back to the resort? Well I'm sure it is but is it a good idea? It just seems like such a waste to be right at Epcot and not stop in.

We were there right at the start of the new EPCOT drop off, and it worked great for us!! We usually go to TL most every afternoon for a couple hours, so going to EPCOT makes it great to either go in, go through to DHS, monorail to MK. Personally, we may miss it when it returns to normal!
