We have ADR's @ Spirit of Aloha I have been second guessing that is two hours too long to ask a two-year-old boy to sit. Is this show exciting enough to entertain him for two hours?

I don't think this would be the best choice for a 2 year old. Have you considered the Hoop de doo or Mickey's backyard barbeque. They are much more entertaining for kids, as well as adults. My 3 girls have been going to the HDDR since they were infants and have loved it every time, they insist on going now every trip!

We just attended the luau on Friday night. My youngest will be 2 on Saturday. She was ok, but definitely ready to go when it was over. IT kept both of them entertained however, my baby wanted to be in my lap and not the high chair but that's another issue!!

My biggest beef was there is a "last call", for drink whether alcoholic or not before the big finale...well the big finale is like 20-30 minutes....just make sure you order an extra at last call!

When we did Mickey's Luau several years ago, my son fell asleep before the dinner was over and the show had begun. He was four. And this was the character luau which they have not done in many years.

I wouldn't waste money on the luau again.

We took our DS2 last year. He was pretty good, but got a little bored before the fire thrower...once the fire thrower started he was entertained again. We had GREAT seats front and center. If you decide to go, BOOK EARLY for a good seat, had we been in the back there is no way he would have made it through the whole show...;)

I'm so glad I came across this post! I've been mulling this one over for a week now. I booked this show and was worried about my DD2. We don't have great seats, so I think we'll have to pass on the show this time. Thanks DISers!!

actually now you pay for where you sit. It's broken into tiers...not like prior where the earlier you booked determined your seat.

I didn't realize it had changed...I would definitely pay for a better seat with young children, or skip it altogether for now...
