Two Weeks!!!!!

Yep! Two weeks from tonight I'll be eating with my family in France!! (Well, we'll be done eating by now, but you get the idea!!)

Staying at AKL!

Aw, thanks!! I'm definitely excited - about the weather AND the break from school (I teach...love my kidlets, but ! I'll do what I can of a trip report, it's been a while since I've done one though. I'll be meeting up with my parents at MCO and we're taking the Magical Express. We'll have lunch at Downtown Disney once we've either checked in or whatever (my sister's a CM and probably will have to be with us to check us in).

The only meals we have reservations for are our first and last dinner - Chefs de France on Wednesday night and Rose and Crown on Saturday night. The rest we'll do counter service and just wing.

This will be my first time at AKL. My parents have stayed there a time or two. Definitely excited! It'll be my first time in a Deluxe too!

Having a sister as a CM has got to be great! I have never stayed at AKL but I did go visit it during my last trip to Disney, and it was beautiful. Can't wait to hear if the rooms are as beuatiful as the lobby. I stayed at the Beach Club a couple of years ago and WOW are the Deluxe resorts pretty...my favorite is still Port Orleans (cause of the price) no really cause I love the ambience, did I spell that right?

If you are going to have lunch at DTD, I don't know how many of the TR's you read but T-Rex is getting some great reviews and apparently you can get the full menu at the bar with no wait-if you don't mind sitting at a bar, never a problem for me.


Besides your ADR's do you ahve any other big plans? And I love the Rose and Crown...Haven't been to Chef's de France...

Another NYer here with a Mulan icon (my daughter is from China)- and I'll be at Kidani, AKL in 2 weeks, 5 days!!
We arrive on Tues the 23 and will hang by the pool and have dinner at Sanaa the first night!

RockinDisney - It's definitely fun having the CM sister - though it does mean there are some things we can't do (like apply for The Amazing Race because it's partly produced by Disney). Caribbean Beach was my first on-property resort, so it will always have a special place in my heart. But I'm definitely excited about AKL!!

I'll definitely check out some of the TRs and T-Rex. Knowing my parents they'll probably want Earl of Sandwich, but we'll see. (I'd be happy with an ice cream sundae for lunch personally. HA!)

I don't know that we have anything else BIG planned... We just sort of play things by ear. We'll see what we end up doing. I know Festival of the Lion King will be on the list. We all love that show!

Not yet. At this point the plan is to do laundry on the 16th and pack. LOL. When I've got to walk about 4 blocks to the laundry, I do it as sparingly as possible. I'm bad!
