Two V&A Questions

I am hoping there are some V&A experts out there who can help me with a couple of questions. First, I noticed that the dinner is more expensive with the wine pairings...can you simply order a bottle of wine of your own choice if you do not select the wine pairings option? Second, I am highly allergic to shellfish and am so paranoid that I stay away from all fish...are there any people in this boat (so to speak!) who have gone to V&A? Do I tell the reservation person that I am allergic or just try to figure it out once I am there?

DD is allergic to shellfish and I just let them know!

Disney is wonderful when it come to people with allergies!

As long as you let them know ahead of time, you should be fine!

They have an extensive "by the bottle" wine list, along with a bar in case wine dosen't suit your fancy. I've even spotted a few folks with beer or iced tea..
Now that you actually call V&A direct when you make the reservation, you can probably mention the shellfish allergy then.

Just let them know when you make the reservation about the shellfish. V&A know does their own reservations, so you should be fine.

I would also remind them when you confirm the reservation the day before.

I am sure there is no problem in ordering a bottle of wine instead of the flight.

You can even bring your own bottle of wine and pay a corkage fee...or at least you could the last time we dined there which was I think about 18 months ago. We've never done that though as they offer such a great variety of wine and advice to go with it.

Thanks for all the info--I just found out about the dedicated reservation line. Can I call now for an April reservation, do you think?

My husband has a shellfish allergy. When we dined there several years ago, I just mentioned it to them when I made the reservation. They were super about it. No problems whatsoever.
