Two Use years... a cautionary tale...

First let me say, that although the past couple of days have not gone as smoothly as I would have liked, I really dont mind.... it distracts me from the house renovations and moving preperations. lol

You may have read the saga detailing my search for 1 point and the dificulties I had getting it transfered. A lovely Dis'r came thru and the point was manually transfered into my Dec 04 UY.

Manual transfers take anywhere from a couple of hours-24 hours.

So where does the two UY's come into play...

Well, we are adding a night to our Oct trip, and between our Dec UY (NOW with 53 points in 2004) and our August UY (with 8 lonely points left for 2004) we have the required 61 points for our two bedroom Saturday night stay.

What I didnt know... or think about was how those 8 lonely points were going to be combinded with the other UY.

It is another manual transfer...

Another couple-24 hours before I can book our last night, which is for a dedicated 2Q 2 bedroom at BCV, and none are availible now (of course one was availible 2 days ago when I started this whole process, such is life)

Sooooooooooo what I have learned...

When a UY no longer has enough points in it to book a full night, I will transfer those points over a couple of days before I need them, so all my ducks are in a row.

to use the transferred points? I have done this twice now and both times I was told the transfer needs to be done manually but I was allowed to make a reservation using those points on the same phone call.
