Once again, heres the cast of characters: me (40 something), DH (also 40 something) and our two DDs "Princess" (16) and "Little Legs" (11).
We had a 7 a.m. flight out of Chicago Midway airport, which meant we had to leave our house around 4:45 a.m., which is not real time!! We told Little Legs the day before we were going on a trip, and had to wake up early, so she was moving without much trouble. We usually take a limo to the airport (Disney car according Little Legs), but this time we were going to drive ourselves, and park in the remote lot. Got through security, grabbed a quick breakfast, our plane was 20 minutes late leaving the gate (something about waiting for someones luggage to get loaded on the plane(?)), but we were finally on our way!
Arrived at MCO about 15 minutes late, no problem. Hit the bathroom, and when we got out, our driver from Tiffany Town car was waiting for us. Walked outside, and the heat and humidity really got to us (its been unseasonably cold here in Chicago). Made our stop at the Publix, and discovered my driver's license was missing! I of course, went into panic mode! Remembered I jammed the boarding passes and my license in my bag at security, so maybe it was floating around in the bag. I certainly hoped so!
We passed under the Welcome to Walt Disney World arch, and pointed it out to Little Legs, who didnt believe we were here! We got to our new home, Saratoga Springs, heard a couple of Welcome Home, which was so cool. Went to check in, which was empty (we wont see that in the future!). Our room was ready (room 1203, farthest east building, second floor of Congress Park). Bell service drove us over, and asked us if we were happy our room was ready, well duh! We wanted to just check our lugage with them, NOT! Got into our room, and immediately rifled through my bags, no license was found anywhere! I wound up spending the entire trip worrying about how I was going to get home!
Since it was DHs birthday, we let him decide what we were going to do for the day. He requested dinner at Alfredos in Italy, so at check in we made ressies for 7:15. Wanted to say hi to our guide, Amil, so we walked over to the preview center, but he wasnt there. We left him a voice mail, which he returned later that day, telling us he had to go to realtor school for the week! (Gotta keep up on your skills you know!). Headed to MGM, to ride RNR and ToT (Little Legs favorite rides) and eat lunch. Checked out the updated Back Lot tour, then headed back to SSR to change for dinner. It started to rain as we got off the bus, and continued as we caught the bus back to Epcot. Took our time walking to WS. Had dinner which was O.K. (Princess was upset, she doesnt eat much Italian food, but does enjoy Chicken Parmesan, well they didnt have that on the menu, so she just ate a salad) even had dessert, which we dont usually do. Our usual spot to watch Illuminations is by Germany, but when we were down in March, we borrowed Pal Mickey from a co-worker, and Pal Mickey said a good spot to watch Illuminations was the bridge between England and France. We decided to follow Mickeys advice this time, well, Pal Mickey told too many people, it was packed! Took our time walking out. The bus back was packed, since OKW and SSR share a bus. Wanted to see what OKW looked like, but the windows were covered with condensation (it was very humid!). I was startled by the fireworks from PI at midnight, but then again, I was lying in bed worrying about my missing license.
