Two Transportation Questions

I actually have two transportation questions:

1) I have a 7:30am Chef Mickey reservation at the Contemporary resort and I am staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter. Will the buses be running that early? Will I have to transfer at a park?

2) I have a 5:45pm reservation at the Coral Reef Restaurant and I would like to make the Fantasmic show at 8pm. How long of a bus ride is it from Epcot to Hollywood Studio?

Yes, the buses will be running that early.

You need to be at your bus stop NLT 6:20 am and catch the first bus to the Magic Kingdom. When you board, ask the driver the best way to get to the Contemporary from the MK. He may be able to take you directly to the Contemporary at that early hour.

If not, then you will be dropped at the MK bus stop and you can just walk over to the Contemporary.

Follow the sidewalk toward the MK hugging the fence as far to the right as you can, then pretty much U-turn just before getting to guest relations, then follow the sidewalk to the Contemporary.

As far as the bus ride to the Studios, I would allow 45 minutes. 20 minutes or more waiting on a bus, then a 10-15 minute drive over to the Studios.

Quite honestly, you could exit Coral Reef, walk out the International Gateway and walk to the Studios faster.

I can't add anything to the Chef Mickey's suggestion, but do you have enough time to make the Fantasmic show?

I didn't think there was a Park to Park bus. That's rare. Otherwise, you have to get to a resort (is Pop closest?) which takes longer.

I do believe that the recommendation of how early to be lined up for Fantasmic is at least 1 hr.

for 2

you also might consider catching the boat from the international gateway....not sure of time it takes but it stops at boardwalk, yatch/beach, swan dolphin and then onto the studios

do not know if it is faster than bus, just another option ...for the bus you have to go back to the main gate ( so distance would be similar ...eg coral seas to international gateway )

Not rare at all. There is direct transportation between all parks.

I agree, the fantasmic show is more than a little tight. You might get there by 8, but it will already be full.

As an FYI GoofyNewfie, there are park to park busses (direct, non stop) between all the four major parks EXCEPT MK and Epcot (which has the monorail). They run every 20 minutes or so.

Disney would have a hard time selling the park hopping option if they didn't offer a way to park hop.;)

Thanks for the advice. I know I am cutting it short but that is the only day that that Fantasmic is playing while I am there. On top of that I will be leaving the next day so I wanted to have a nice dinner with my wife (it will be our 1st wedding anniversary) so I wanted to eat somewhere nice and still be able to only use "one meal". We will have to see how long it takes us to eat.

Sorry about the misinformation about the lack of buses. Brain was obviously misfiring last night.

I was thinking about the fact that there's no resort to resort buses I guess. :upsidedow
