We have one day left on our 10 day non-expire tickets. We will be purchasing new tickets soon for our next trip and was wondering if we can have two tickets(our old one) and the new tickets(probably DVC AP) on our Magic Bands and just how that would work...smjj

Tickets are not on your band they are in your MDE account. You need to stop by guest services to tell them which ticket you wish to use first.

Yes, I am aware of that, I guess what I was trying to ask was how two active tickets are handled. Not only does the older ticket have just one day left, it has all of the extra addons for water parks and the such. When we use up the last day on the older ticket and start using the new tickets, how are these addons from the older ticket handled in the system with the newer ticket??...smjj

They should just remain there like any entry entitlement to be used when you go to the water parks. The bigger thing will be to have the theme park entry entitlement used when you want which is why you need to get it ordered correctly.

This is a real problem with disney. I HAD Four days left with lots of options on my ten day nonexpiring pass. Three times in two trips they somehow "used" my non expiring days vs my annual pass. Yes, they fixed it...but once scanned they cannot give back. I now have two one day park hopper passes, and one two day, non expiring pass (time will tell cause they said not to lose the email that confirms it is non expiring two day hopper). I have my original non expiring pass with the options...an annual pass, and when I just purchased my MNSSHP they claimed they couldn't link cause I had TOO MANY TICKETS LINKED. They were going to unactivate one...I said no, once unactivated it is void. They had to get a supervisor in IT to figure out how to get it on my account. Stupid me, I can't wait to see what ticket they try to use in September... I have to check each time I go through the turnstiles to confirm annual pass...luckily, I caught the four times the other ticket was used...once the CM, said Yep, annual pass, when I found out the next day, nope they lied, they used my non expiring. Five hours in total to straighten out at various guest services. Did the same thing this summer with my daughter, we confirmed annual pass was the one to be used, and low and behold, they used her non expiring pass...45 minutes at the guest services at the studios to fix.

Personally I would not have the 1 day non-expiring on my magic band, that way there can not be an issue. I believe you can deactivate from MDE but I would speak to a CM or guest services to confirm.

I had zero choice in the matter. That's how they chose to give me back the days that they used by mistake. I argued about the two day ticket...saying give me two one day tickets and I didn't need to worry about the non expiring issue, but they refused. I couldn't believe it happened two different trips, so now I always ask...which ticket was used. I don't ask did you use my Annual Pass, I make them tell me which one. I have more single day tickets here at home, but will not use/link them until these others are used. Took many trips with friends were we had to buy tickets with the package and I had already had an annual pass.

I was told IF a ticket is deactivated it is considered void. That was from a Suoervisor in the technology department...so we are careful not to do that. When trying to get the MNSSHP linked they confirmed that again.

Deactivating does not solve the issue. We learned that the hard way. The only way to have the right ticket media used is to go to Guest Relations and have the tickets prioritized. Then keep checking MDE to make sure the prioritization "sticks." My DSis and DNiece had the same issues as Pirate Granny when they were trying to use the special 4 day DVC tickets and NOT their non-expiring tickets. I am not surprised that Disney is doing away with non-expiring tickets. They seem to be having a lot of technical problems with them under the MDE/magicband system.

We did not intend to have this happen. We thought we would use up our non-expire on this last trip but ended up with an extra day. I have been told and others here have also mentioned this that if you remove it from your Magic Bands, it is considered void....smjj

This has me worrying, we have some non-expiring passes from several years ago, that we had while we had annual passes and can't remember if we've used them since MDE started. Is there a way to check and see how many days are left on each pass?

I will have this same problem next week. I have an old non-expiring ticket with three days remaining. I also have a voucher for an annual pass since we are planning 10 park days this trip plus another three days next April. Mr first stop after arrival will be to Guest Relations to have my AP activated. Can someone explain exactly what I need to say? And what should I look for on MDE to insure all is right?

I was worried about this, too, but it all seemed to work fine. I have brand new no-expiration tickets linked, and ended up purchasing annual passes. All three of our tickets can still be reassigned in MDE, so it doesn't appear they were used. I did have to go to Guest Services to activate the annual passes, and I had them "priortize" the tickets at that time. Everything worked out fine.
