Two things that will never happen to me:

What a great thread! Now I can whine about never getting a pin code and know I am not alone!

Don't you hate when someone posts "we just got 3 pin codes, one at each of our 3 email addresses!".

Makes me sick!

Oh wow I feel better now.... :)

 I'm glad you feel better. This thread is cheaper than therapy.

Let me try to put you a little at ease - somtimes the best deals are the deals to the general public.

My DW has been a TA for 2 years now and the past two years that we have gone on a trip we booked a public code. We received a 40% code earlier this year, but the free dining was a better offer so we are doing that.

I know, a 40% code MIGHT be better than free dining if you are staying at deluxe, but the majority of people stay in a value or moderate. So rest easy because sometimes the deal that you DO get is better than the deal you MIGHT get.

You are right free dining is much better for us than 40% off but we are driving and we could arrive anywhere from 1am-4am depending when we get out of here and we will be in 2 seperate vehicles with DH arriving about 9am. I could use that 40% for a room only for just one room so DD and I have somewhere to go till the rest of our party arrives and we can all check in together.

Also the 40% that came out the first of the year had Dec.24, I could have used that to add one more day to the start of our Dec. trip. So, yes GP offers can be as good but I sure needed that 40% before my GP offer starts. My DD and I will be the 2 asleep on the kids furniture @ POP Oct. 3 :rolleyes1

Sadly, I found out from my DH last year that he had been deleting e-mails from Disney Destinations :scared1: I swear I almost filed for divorce on the spot. God only knows how he got linked...I'm the Disneyholic in the house! It's really weird b/c when I called, they didn't even have a record of him in their system. :confused3 Anyway, now I have to constantly remind him to FORWARD all e-mails from D.D. to me. We did get 2 of the Goofy pin codes recently, but we were unable to use them with our dates. :sad2:

:rotfl2:Well, I checked my DH's second e-mail address, and guess what? He had another 40% off pin code in there!! Unbelievable!

I had never received an email pin code until I called the general questions # and asked if they had my correct address and email address, said I had not received any offers and my friend kept getting them and could not understand why I never got any..... they did not have my email and so I asked them to add my email, the next day I recieved my first pin offer. I have ordered from disney online, stayed at disney, have the visa, ordered the planning DVD, so they have my email but in whatever system they use for the Pin they did not have my email and never got a pin until this call. :confused3 of course the pin they sent was not one I could use but at least I know I am on the "list" now :thumbsup2

I never get codes under the name and address and email address I have used for my frequent trips, but I always get them when I sign up a new name using my post office box, and I always get them when I change email addresses and sign up anew.

#1.) After going to the World for over 10 years, always staying on property, always booking directly with Disney and registering my email, it is apparent that I will NEVER get a PIN code. :sad1:

2#.) I will never be tagged by the tag fairy. :sad2:

Ok, my pity party is almost over.

Good grief!!

Ok, so I had emergency surgery on the 4th of July. I'm lying in my hospital bed a few days later when my cell phone rings. It's my good friend Sara, who I helped plan her 1st trip to the World last year.

Sara: "Hi Gina. What's up? Guess what? I got another fantastic special Disney offer and I booked it for September."

Me: "Oh, not much. Lying here in the hospital. That's great."

Seriously, can I not just get one stinking PIN code or "special" offer??????? I likely couldn't even use it but that's sooooo not the point.

Ok, feeling a bit better.

OH WAIT! Guess what the 4th of July was? It was my 90 day ADR date but I obviously couldn't make my ressies from my hospital bed...heck the morphine was making it so I couldn't even remember my name let alone try to recall which days I wanted what restaurants if I had called the dining line on my cell phone, LOL!

One sure way to get a code is to register to get in free on your birthday. My daugher and I both got pins:goodvibes for room discounts around when our birthdays are. Mine was for 40% off - hers was different but I can't remember what it was....

Oh yippee...more PIN codes are out today...and of coure I DIDN'T get one!! :sad1:

Good grief.

I never get a pin either, but my SIL that went with me once on a trip that I booked in my name, and paid for gets them all the time.:confused3:confused3

Sometimes the pin code comes to my house with her name on it.

Oh thank goodness for this thread I soo thought this was only me and I was the only person who was soo bitter about not ever getting a pin. What does a person need to do to get a pin code. I have created a new registration and reordered the trip planning dvd. I have the credit card I even get there newsletter, but no stinkin pin code...

Maybe everyone's right, maybe I go to frequently that Disney doesn't feel I need a pin code to come back, but darn it all I want a pin code... Maybe if I got a pin code for 1 trip I would spend that extra money on an AP and they could get me 3 times a year instead of 2!!!:surfweb:

It's Ok verygfy let it all out. :goodvibes You are not alone! I'm glad you found this thread...it's cheaper than therapy!

Well I again post on this thread that I did not receive a pin today, yesterday, this month, last month.......anybody seeing a pattern here, Oh yea, everybody on this thread is in my world. At least I know I am not the only one.

We need some kind of marker to wear in the parks so we will see each other and know we are pinless dis'ers.

What are these pins? Will they fit on my lanyard? Could I trade them with other pin collecters? I never recieved any kind of pin in the mail! :goodvibes

What are these pins? There is a very special CM that bestows a very coveted pin on a very few special and lucky guests. You literally have to be in the exact place at the exact time to receive one of these pins. Will they fit on my lanyard?Yes, if you write small enough, I have heard they can be very long Could I trade them with other pin collecters? No you can not trade them with other pin collectors and if caught doing so you could give up your right of ever and I mean ever recieving another one I never recieved any kind of pin in the mail! The year of a million dreams is over so quit dreaming :goodvibes

:rolleyes1

I'm so glad I found you all!
I've been multiple times a year for the past 9 years, we were married there, have taken the cruise and gone on an adventures by disney vacation, i'm signed up on the website, i've ordered a planning dvd every year, and NEVER have I gotten a pin!

We had to book a room for the band who played at our wedding, and we got a pin a few weeks ago addressed to them, sent to my parents house.
When I was 18, I went with a friend of mine, and of course....a pin showed up at the house for her too!!

I feel so ignored :confused3

Just trying to be grateful that at least I get to go to Disney World, even if I don't get the upgrade to the deluxe villas. :sad1:

Thanks for letting me vent!

I got an "Upgrade your Disney Resort, FREE!" with a pin number. This was for a deluxe villa, and the dates I could use!! I called and they told me there weren't any dates left. Was I ever disappointed. So I guess that I can't be a member of your "I never got a pin #", but I still feel cheated. I called the same day I received the pin # too. :(

oh, my...if it weren't for free dining, I'd be really depressed.

Signing up for the birthday promo did us no good on pins -- both DH & me are signed up. No pins. And we belong to every possible Disney newsletter, music club, video club, etc. Get countless junk emails from Disney. No pins. Get snail mail junk, too. But no pins.

Oh well. Start the Pin-Pity-Party!

:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1

NEver here either. I ordered something for my mom using her credit card, her name and my email address at the Disney Store ONCE, and I have gotten 3 PIN codes for her. None for me.

I have been 9 times.

Hey, it's me...the author of this thread.

I think you should all sit down.

Ok, ready?

I FINALLY GOT A PIN CODE TODAY!! :yay:

Holy-toledo that only took 12 years!!!

Now, is the tag-fairy even still alive??
