Two things that will never happen to me:

i just got the 40% off code as well, and I just ordered the vacation planning DVD on Monday!

My DH and youngest DD go 3-5 times a year; never have once rcvd a pin code.

Back in '07, we paid for another DD and her new DH to spend a few days @ WDW with us (surprised them w/ thier own room when they expected to have to share w/ us!!).

Since then, they have not returned to WDW, but have rcvd pin codes 2 or 3 times!

Maybe it's an incentive to get people back.

Perhaps Disney doesn't feel the need to send codes to those of us who return time after time w/out a code?!

Just a thought, but then, who knows??

my husband just called and said he got a pin code at his work email ....go figure:confused3

I was in your boat until yesterday when I got my first ever PIN code! And I've been going to WDW since 1978. I couldn't believe it!:yay: There's still hope for everyone.::yes::

Don't give up, Gina!! We just got our first pin code today, and we've been going several times per year since 2002, have a Disney Visa, AP, order all of the DVDs, maps, etc.

Of course, when I called to make reservations, the computers were down.:sad2:

We got our first code after booking a trip and then having to cancel it when I thought I might lose my job. I didn't rebook because we found a great deal through a TA. Then *poof* my DH gets a code in his email. It wasn't better than the deal we already had, but it was my first code.

I got my tags by hanging out on the Community Board. There is a whole thread dedicated to those who are Tagless over there.

I've never gotten a PIN code. I have a Disney Visa, AP, I'm a FL resident...maybe they figure they don't need a PIN to entice me since we go all the time. Sigh. If I could get the 40% off, I'd book for December in a heartbeat. Darn it all.

that's how we felt too...we have the visa, live and FL and are passholders...then last week we got 3 seperate codes....our Dec trip is already paid for in full, so we are trying to decide if we can fit in another trip before then...even if it's a short one:rolleyes1

If you go to WDW and stay on site every year or even more often, it is obvious that Disney doesn't need to entice you back.

We did Free Dining in 2005 and 2006. Last April/May we stayed off site. This Jan we got a 40% code. I think if you disappear once in a while Disney will work to get you back.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Oh, that bites. I would feel the same way.

And folks like us can just forget EVER snagging any kind of Year of a Millions Dreams goodies. ;) I dare not go there.

OMG!! I forgot about that!! My same friends that got multiple PIN offers after their 1st trip ALSO won YoaM Dreams Ears at Epcot and Dream FAST PASSES at Animal Kingdom!!! Seriously. Now I feel like an even bigger loser !! I wonder if it was because they were wearing their 1st Trip pins?? Maybe I should borrow theirs :lmao:!

Ok, where/how exactly did you get a PIN? Mail? Email (which site)? Call from Mickey Mouse?

My fear is that maybe I have gotten one but it was burried in a cluttered news letter or something :confused3 and I didn't even know it!?

OK, I really should let this go....nope, I can't. Oh bother.

We got it by e-mail. It was very obvious - the subject line was something like "Save 40% on a Disney Vacation."

It was for me, as I have an AP, but it went to my DH's e-mail address!! How did they ever link those? He almost deleted it! Who knows how many others he may have deleted?:confused3

Two things that will never happen to me !!

1.Pin code from Disney, done everything to get one and whatever. Did get 7 nights through Christmas during the LMT world for a $1 promotion, so I shouldn't complain about that,it's like getting 80% off.

2. Cheap airfare from Southwest !! My Oct. trip is showing $180 one way and $112 the other. I check everyday multiple times, have dinged for years, check every sale, willing to book weekdays to make cheaper and on and on. I don't get it, I have always found Delta cheaper but with baggage fees it is so much cheaper to drive.

I am done ranting now !!

 Rant away. That's sort of why I made this post. I couldn't take another thread about "I just got my 900th PIN code today" :lmao:!!!

gina

P.S. We are at the World at the SAME TIME!!!

I wish your trip perfect weather, low crowds and many magical moments :wizard: Oh wait thats my wish, glad your there the same time. We will be the family with the four 17 year old boys celebrating there senior year.

The planning is killing me let alone all of the money part. We really need AP for this trip but of course no discount card for us. No Ap 40% discount for us, since there will be 7 flying will be so expensive we need a room only Fri. night and I am sure I will get somthing but ya know I thinking of checking in about 1 am and sleeping in the kids lounge till they let us check in the next morning.Do ya think that will snub there pin code.:rolleyes1 :lmao:

When the castmember taps you on the shoulder and says, "I'm sorry but you can't sleep here" you can reply with, "well if you would give me a freaking PIN code I could afford a room"!!!!!!!!!!!

Be sure to look for us as we'll be sleeping on the chairs by the pool ;).

What a great thread! Now I can whine about never getting a pin code and know I am not alone!

Don't you hate when someone posts "we just got 3 pin codes, one at each of our 3 email addresses!".

Makes me sick!

Oh wow I feel better now.... :)

Let me try to put you a little at ease - somtimes the best deals are the deals to the general public.

My DW has been a TA for 2 years now and the past two years that we have gone on a trip we booked a public code. We received a 40% code earlier this year, but the free dining was a better offer so we are doing that.

I know, a 40% code MIGHT be better than free dining if you are staying at deluxe, but the majority of people stay in a value or moderate. So rest easy because sometimes the deal that you DO get is better than the deal you MIGHT get.

Sadly, I found out from my DH last year that he had been deleting e-mails from Disney Destinations :scared1: I swear I almost filed for divorce on the spot. God only knows how he got linked...I'm the Disneyholic in the house! It's really weird b/c when I called, they didn't even have a record of him in their system. :confused3 Anyway, now I have to constantly remind him to FORWARD all e-mails from D.D. to me. We did get 2 of the Goofy pin codes recently, but we were unable to use them with our dates. :sad2:
