This is my second attempt at a Trip Report and this time I will finish it. Last time, we went to the world was for Easter for a whole week. That trip resulted in two of us (my dad and myself) having to go to CentraCare and being sick the entire trip. We did however get something good out of the trip. We are proud owners of DVC at SSR! Woohoo! So, on with the show.

Cast:

Me (26): K-2 Reading Teacher (I just switched schools for this school year); I am a Disney Addict! I am the planner of all trips, both Disney and elsewhere. I love scrapbooking and making handmade cards.

DH (26): 3-5 Math and Social Studies Teacher (We teach at the same school); He puts up with all my Disney talk, but deep down I know he secretly loves it! He tells me that I need to attend DAA (Disney Addicts Anonymous) :rotfl:

DH and me

DM and DD: The DVC Owners!! They bought it on the last trip. They were unsure of buying, when we left the presentation. We got out to the car and my dad said "Let's do it! So, back in we go for them to purchase!"

Our Plans:

Aug. 29- Drive up and Check in to SSR (eating dinner at Chevy's)
Aug. 30- DHS EMH, Epcot rest of day (Le Celliar)
Aug. 31- MK, Blizzard Beach (Ohana)
Sept. 1- AK and head home :sad1:

That's it for now! I'm going to load pictures from our last trip, which isn't much since I was so sick.

I'm up early for a mandatory training at school for the new program we are starting this year, so I decided to post some pictures from my last trip. Our last trip was of Easter, but we really didn't get to do much since my Dad and I were very sick. We tried to make it to the parks but couldn't stay long since the medicine we got at the Urgent Care center made us sleepy. Both of us had severe sinus infections. I love taking pictures, but just didn't have the energy to take many.

Our first day was at Animal Kingdom.

Of course, we went on Everest first and then headed over to the safari ride.

After the safari ride, we did the jungle trek while there we saw this guy come out of hiding.

We were the only ones there at the time and my mom saw him first. While she was calling us over, he stood up and began to beat on his chest. We determined, he didn't like my mom very much. :confused3 After the gorillas, we continued on and eventually found my dad's favorite animal.

We then decided to do It's Tough To Be a Bug. Here we are waiting to go in.

We are now honorary bugs.
Our fastpass time for Everest had now come so we decided to head over and ride. After taming the Yeti, we saw Nemo at this point my Dad started to not feel to well. We decided to get some lunch at Flame Tree and then head back to the hotel to rest.

Hi!!! Great start.

I'm a teacher also. I teach kindergarten.

I'm glad to have a fellow teacher reading my report. I love kindergarteners! Thanks for joining my report.

I have to go start getting ready to head to my school. I get to see my classroom for the first time. Woohoo!

A kindergarten teacher! :worship:
Hope this trip is sickness free for you! Can't wait to hear how you liked SSR - it is our first trip there coming up!

Sorry, I haven't been able to post lately. I've been so busy getting ready for the start of school. Tomorrow is the first day back for teachers, so I will be busy organizing my classroom and attending staff meetings.

Now back, to the update...

So, after leaving Animal Kingdom we decided to go back to the hotel. We rested and then got ready for dinner at Ohana. My dad was feeling a little better but not much. We left for Ohana and I left my camera in the room. :headache: When we got back to the hotel, we went straight to the gift shop. A cold front, came through that night and we needed to get jackets for the rest of the week.

Day 2:

We woke up bright and early to get ready to go to the parks. Well, most of us woke up early. My dad hadn't slept the whole night. His throat was really inflamed. He couldn't talk and his sinuses were really bad. My mom and DH went to go get us all some breakfast. At this point, I started to notice that I wasn't doing so well either. My throat was hurting but wasn't swollen like my dad's and I had a severe headache. When DMom and DH, returned from getting breakfast, I tried to eat but just couldn't. We called to front desk to get directions for us to get medicine and also got directions to the UrgentCare center near by. We left Coronado at 7:30am to get there by the time they opened at 8am. When we got there they just opened, there was already 5 people in front of us. I wasn't going to get checked out, but changed my mind, who wants to be sick on vacation. Well, after about being there for 3 1/2 hours, we left with prescriptions for sinus infections. Lucky us! We went to Walgreens to get them filled and then decided to go to DHS. DDad and I weren't feeling so hot, but didn't want to just sit around the hotel the whole time. We did the drawing class and The Great Movie Ride. After that, we all decided to leave. We felt bad for DMom and DH, but they said that they wanted us to get better. So, back to the hotel we went to sleep. We woke up around 5pm. I cancelled our ADR for Whispering Canyon, since DDad and I only wanted to have soup. However, we did venture out and played some mini-golf. We went to Winter Summerland!

After playing, I came to the conclusion that I am really bad at mini-golf. I lost my ball about 4 or 5 times, maybe even more. :rotfl2:
