Two tables for a party of 7?

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. When I made our reservations I was told that a couple of the restaurants (CRT, MM-Fantasmic Package, Coral Reef) were not available for one table. I have reservations, but the CM was clear that there was no guarantee we would be anywhere near each other. I am hoping that if we arrive early and ask nicely to be near each other they will accomodate, but this may be a dream. Has anyone been through this and were you seated next to each other? Thanks for the help.

There are very few tables automatically set up for parties over six. There are some but few. So what the reservationist will tell you is that your party will be split (probably 4 and 3) and there's no guarantee that you will be seated next to each other. That's actually pretty normal for Disney World.

Ask that your two reservations be linked in the system. You shouldn't have a problem. You can stop in at the restaurant earlier in the day and make sure the reservations are linked. The restaurant will try everything they possibly can do to seat you next to each other or push tables together for your party.

I had a reservation ofr 12 at LeCellier. We had three tables of four. When we got there (and it was a very special occasion but I didn't have that noted on the reservation), the three tables were all next to each other and I was given my choice of leaving the tables like that or having them pushed together for one long table. I chose the long table.

Another reservation was at Cape May dinner buffet for ten people. One seating for six and another for four. When we got there for that one, the table for six was ready to go but the party at the next table (for four) was done but lingering. I could have chosen for six of us to be seated right away and then the other four later. But the staff said the other party was just about ready to go, maybe ten more minutes. For those two tables, we left them apart because one side of the tables was a long bench and it was easier for the people on the bench to use the opening between the two tables to get up and down for the buffet.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

we are going in Sept. And there are 12 of us at every dinner. All the places we have to have 2-3 tables. The 1st and last night dinner we actually have 16 of us and the two places that would accommodate all of us at one table were The Artist Point( 2 pts on dining plan) and Fulton's Crab House ( not on dining plan). I also wasn't promised that our tables would be next ot each other. I am just going to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. Good Luck!!!

We had a party of 10 and where next to each other.

We were a party of 8 at Crystal Palace (Breakfast and dinner), Chef Mickeys and HDDR. We were at 1 large circular table each time (even though we were specifically told at HDDR we would be split but near each other)

1) But, those tables could already be reserved for another large party.
2) Trust me, when you look for a ressie, you see EVERY table and all the ressies already made.
3) The computer shows how many empty tables are left for a specific number of seats.

We've gone with a party of 7, 8 and 10. There were a few places that I was told we be at seperate tables and maybe not near each other but every time we ended up right next to each other. A few places even pushed the tables together. Some of the places even put us at 1 table when we arrived. The palces I remember are 'Ohana, HDDR, CM, 50's PTC, CP.
