First question: I recently started getting back into coupons, rebates and such..but for the life of me I CAN NOT find any gorcery store in my area that doubles the coupons. Is there a web site or any other way I could find out where one would be at?

Second Question: Is there any board or website that any of you use that would be good for getting started into doing rebates? You know like,,,,,buy such and such and then send away for blank $$? Thanks in advance for everyones help/advise.

Check out the flyers of the stores you are shopping at it would probably say that they double coupons if it was a local store or you could give each a call- not sure about a website. I live accross country from you so it isn't pertinent but it drives me crazy not to have double coupons here at my area groceries. I know they aren't obligates to do that but it s ure would make me happy!!!

OP...keep in mind that just because a store doubles coupons in a particular area means the people in that area are paying less than you.

For example...I have a friend who lives in Maine and her grocery store doubles coupons on I believe 1 or 2 days a month (or something like that). She STILL pays .25 more per package of pasta than I do here in Iowa. It's all based on the area you live in, supply and demand, cost of living, etc.

So just because a store doubles coupons doesn't necessarily mean it's the lowest in your area. I don't know of ANY stores here in Iowa that double coupons except Kmart every once in a great while...but good grief they are so overpriced anyway I think they do this just to get rid of product!:scared1:

Wow. I just assumed all the grocery stores doubled coupons. All the grocery stores around where I live in New Jersey double them - ShopRite, Acme, Pathmark. We also used to have a Giant and Stop n Shop that doubled them, but they closed those particular local stores. Acme also occasionally has days when they will triple your coupons.
I'm not sure if there are any of these stores out in California, or if they are just regional stores.
Sorry, I don't know of any websites that specifically tell you which grocery stores double coupons.

The only Kmart left near my house, is also located next to our local discount movie theater. I don't get the Kmart ad, but can usually tell if they are doing double coupons, because they have some, any cars in their parking lot--I will miss them when they finally expire.

When Kmart has double coupons I feel like I am robbing them. I mostly use the coupons on Health & Beauty or Cleaning products, they double coupons up to $2.00. It is ridiculous, the last time I had $200 in Kmart price of items in my cart, a full teaming cart load. After all coupons were doubled I paid $18.00--these were mostly for "food pantry luxury items" (diapers, toothbrushes, razors, shampoo--things we don't get many donations for but that everyone needs). The Kmart store manager overheard me telling the cashier that I was doing a shop for the food pantry, and gave me two cases of apple juice for the pantry. Go Kmart, corporate responsibility!:woohoo:

In my area Kmart is the only double coupon retailer.

Not sure if there is a Safeway or Kroger in your area. But in oregon we have Safeway's and Fred Meyer which is part of Kroger and they both double the manf. coupons up to I think five in each transaction.
There are local mom and pop stores here that do as well but I know those won't be around the US.

I shop at Publix or Kroger here in GA and they both double coupons up to $1.00.

No doubling coupon in my area either. I am not sure ANY store doubles in California anyone.

Hi! :thumbsup2

1. www.couponmom.com *may* have a listing of double coupon stores, but it really varies, even in one town. I can tell you that in the Dallas Metroplex, Kroger and Albertsons double up to $.50 and triple up to $.39. Tom Thumb is the same, but only on items that are not on clearance or BOGO. The bigger the chain (nationwide) the more likely they will double.

2. Check out www.slickdeals.net click on "forums" and you'll find a discussion board about halfway down labeled "rebates". Also a helpful website for grocery couponing and CVSing.

Happy couponing, and remember three things:
1. "free" trumps "healthy" in a bad economy.
2. store coupons and manufacturer coupons can and should be combined
3. Just because it's got a coupon doesn't mean it should be purchased. If it ain't free, make sure you will use it before you buy it.

I am in Southern California and my local Ralph's (Kroger) doubles coupons only up to the value of $1 (a 50-cent coupon would be doubled to $1; a 75-cent coupon would only have the first 25 cents doubled, for a total of $1). I believe that Ralph's previously doubled up to a $2 value.
I don't know if this is just my area (Orange County). It is not highly advertised now, but it was previously when they doubled to the $2 value. I imagine that it will eventually fade out.

I remember the "Coupon Queen" had a website.. not sure if she still has it, though. I signed up for her newsletter (I forget the cost) but she used to send out some great info on rebates, etc, and a nice big envelope of coupons when you first sign up. Her site was called Refundle Bundle or something similar... I'll see if I can find it.

Here it is.... http://www.refundlebundle.com/

Very good info on her site!

Those NJ stores are pretty much local/regional nameplates -- however, I do know Acme is part of the much-larger Supervalu family of stores (Jewel-Osco, select Albertsons, Shop n' Save, etc.).

Not sure if there is a Safeway or Kroger in your area.

There may be, as both those companies operate stores under a number of "localized" banners around the country.

Safeway is known in some areas as Vons, Randall's, Tom Thumb, and Dominick's, among others while Kroger operates under multiple names (King Soopers, Dillon's, and Ralphs come to mind).

The Publix here in my part of GA does NOT double coupons. In fact I don't think anyone does.

:goodvibes You all are so lucky... I live in Northern Ca and we ONLY have large chain stores here..Safeway, Raileys etc....and NONE of them double coupons...heck most of them :scared1: HATE to see you pull out any coupons at all. pirate: But I do thank you all for your time and advise. :goodvibes

I won't shop at a store that doesn't double my coupons. Luckily, all the stores near me double ---- Shop Rite (my fave), Stop & Shop, PathMark.

Did you check out the Refundle Bundle site? I think I'm going to sign up for her newsletters again.
