I watched two shows on TLC yesterday that were jaw dropping and yet did not freak me out like Hoarders.
The first was My Strange Addiction. The title says it all, but the episode I watched was about one woman who is addicted to her blow dryer. She sleeps with it in her bed while it is turned on!
The other is a woman who can't stop eating toilet paper. She's been eating it for 23 years and prefers the 2 ply kind.
The other was Extreme Couponing. WOW! It was fascinating. One woman spends 70 hours a week searching for and clipping coupons. She went to the grocery store, ran up a bill of $1,072 and after coupons only paid $52 for NINE carts full of stuff. The other lady goes through dumpsters looking for coupons. Her grocery bill was over $600, but after her coupons she only paid $2.93! They both have stockpiles of stuff that looked like they could live on them for years. Amazing.
The couponing show is on again on Jan 4th I think at 10pm.
