Two Scooters in our Party

Folks i want to unbury this thread. We are now staying at Boardwalk Inn. We do have plans to use the Skyliner from Epcot to Rivera for a early morning breakfast reservation at 8:50am and then return back to Epcot for the day. I read something above about the gondola not stopping at Rivera, but this doesn't pertain to scooters right?

They do stop at the Riviera. The difference is that they don't have the pull off for the chairs so they will slow down or stop the line to load and unload the ECVs.

So mobility devices can still get on/off at Riviera? Good cuz me and mom have a dinner reservation there.

They may (or may not) stop the line - be prepared (emotionally and physically) to manage both boarding and disembarking while the Skyliner remains moving at a slow crawl, in case they refuse to stop the line.

mamabunny - your 11/2020 post above is right on! It is very well written and covers so many pain points when it comes to ECV usage in WDW. I have used a scooter (my own) at WDW for several years now, and wish I had this to read before I first used a WDW or rented scooter. The one helpful thing I can add is that we usually have our SUV with us. I bought a heavy duty scooter that breaks down in 5 or 6 pieces that fits into the back of our SUV. If you go this way, just remember that in the Florida heat it can be exhausting to reassemble the scooter and break it down as well. Plan accordingly and drink lots of water. Otherwise it is a great convenience to drive to the various places at Disney World and not depend on Disney transportation. Thanks again mamabunny!
