Hello, I have two rooms with passholder rates and I am the only one ( besides my 4 yr old daughter) with a pass. Do you think I will have A problem?
Thank you

Yes, there must be a passholder in each room booked on a passholder deal. They used to let you book 3 rooms with 1 AP, but haven't done that for a few years.

The last I heard was only one room with a passholder rate, there must be an adult with a AP staying in the other room. Pins are different we have booked 2 rooms with a pin.

Things could have changed, but in September that was the rule.

So what will happen when I go and I only I have one adult with a pass and two room? charge me rack rates? YIKES!!

We just did a split stay, and they asked to see the pass at the Yacht club but didn't at BWV. So you don't even know if they'll ask to see it or not?

I am going to cross my fingers. That would really put a damper on the trip!! thank you for your replies :)

They will change you to a rack room rate. It happened to us. We were staying at a deluxe resort though so it was still cheaper for my husband to upgrade his tickets to an AP and then get the AP rate. Remember by the time you check in all other options will have expired. I would not book 2 AP rates unless you have 2 ap's. The general public room only rates are normally close and will only cost you a bit more.... that rate will still be cheaper than having to buy an extra ap you don't need.

Wow - you're braver than I would be. Depending on what the AP discount is, the rack rate, and your length of trip - that could be a huge amount of money!

I was standing right next to another guest during check in at the BC and overheard the CM tell the guest that they would be charging them rack rate because the guest could not produce an AP upon request. The guest's jaw just about hit the counter when the CM said it. Seems like the guest did not have an AP during checkin and told the CM he had planned to get it later (a legitimate response). So the CM told the guest, as soon as your can produce your AP to the counter, we will adjust your room price and honor your AP rate. I'm not sure why the guest was so shocked unless he had plans not to buy an AP. It sounded like the CM was certainly willing to work with him, but he certainly was not taking the news well. It made for an entertaining checkin. OP, is the second room for your children? I've seen responses that said that an AP holder can book a second room if their family is too large for a single room. Why not call the passholder number and ask. I think they are only open during business hours. I think the number is on the passholder website.....or write to the passholder section and get something in writing.

okay I just got off the phone with Disney. She said that under the rate that I have I can book up to 3 rooms. Also my reservation for both rooms are under one number so I am good. Thank you :)!

and how many times on here have we heard about the CMs at CRO giving wrong information?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Sorry, but no way would I trust a thing some CM on the phone told me. Call back and get it in writing.

Thanks again for all of the replies. I called multiple and they said that they allow up to three room. No one is able to give it to me in writing though. I got there names, time of day and date that I spoke to them. I also emailed but I haven't gotten a response. I'm not sure how to get this in writing??

This changed about 2 years ago. It's now 1 AP per room, or 1 room per AP. My DD is a CM at one of the resorts and she confirmed this for me.

Here is also a question on the FAQ section of Allears.net:

If I am an AP holder, can I book more than one room at the AP rate?

Not any longer. It is now one discounted room per passholder.

I just call the actual hotel and she confirmed that I can book 3 rooms with one AP. I still haven't gotten an email in response to my question to Disney. I documented all of my calls and I have the name of there person that acutally works at the hotel. So I guess I will see what happens. I am going next Friday.. there isn't much I can do about it now anyways.
Thank you everyone for your info!

It use to be up to 3 rooms per adult AP.
Then it went to 1 room per adult AP.
Now the policy is back up to 3 rooms with an adult AP. Assuming this started 01/01/11. :confused3
Although maybe there is a difference between room only and WDTC packages. :confused3
