Hi guys -- thanks for all the great tips here -- I've come back year after year and I always learn something new!!

Am going to be in the Orlando area in March w/ DD7 and DS4 -- by myself. ... I will try to take them to one park, one day, IF I think I can handle them alone. It's all we can afford.

I'm not at all sure that I'm up for wrangling two small kids by myself. But if I WERE to decide to do this, which park would you recommend? They have only been to MK. They would love anything, I'm sure -- I'm more interested in which park y'all think *I* could handle :)

Second: I was thinking that since the budget means no second day at a park -- maybe on a second day we could do some of the "soft" WDW attractions that don't involve second mortgages... DTD, any other ideas? Are there publicly accessible areas of the lagoon, beaches, etc? I've never done any of these things -- it's always been a stressful dash through one park, no time for anything else. So what are the best things to do that don't involve more than paying for an ice-cream cone and a hot dog?

Thanks!!!

I liked MK the best and felt like it was the most doable on my own. Although AK was a good one too!!

We just took it easy and had fun.

Definitely book a sit down lunch-- counter service on your own with two hungry kids is not fun!!! The Plaza restaurant is very affordable for a sit down at MK. If you are going to do counter make sure to get there really early so its not crowded. If you wanted to splurge then a character meal is great!!

2 Day-- DTD might ultimately cost more than another day in the parks or a water park!! There is not a lot to do there except shopping. My kids are window shoppers but DTD is too much to handle; they always come out of there with something. You could always do a movie if there was something out good. Maybe booking a nice character meal at one of the resort hotels would be better. Or sending the kids on a pirate cruise?? Mini Golf??
