two questions regarding trash and clean ups

Trash and compost are once a week, recycling is every two weeks. We were given one large bin for each. We very rarely fill the trash bin but compost and recycling are filled to the top each time they are picked up.

Our neighborhood puts together a yearly cleanup everyone is encouraged to attend but no one if forced to.

Where we lived in South Florida & will be returning to, when our home is complete, trash pickup is once a week. We have general trash & recycle cans. They are picked up the same day, but by different trucks. There is no limit on the amount of trash cans allowed. You can take furniture, appliances, etc. to a specified drop-off point once a quarter that is only open one Saturday a month. Garbage disposal is included in the water bill. Our temporary place of residence has trash pickup twice a week. They don't separate recyclable material from other trash. There is an empty lot that people leave furniture, appliances, etc. that is picked up once a week. I don't know how that is paid for, because our agreement includes water & trash pickup. From what I've seen, neither of the places have a community cleanup day. There isn't a need for one.
