Two questions for Disneyland Experts

My sister is taking her kids to Disneyland in October. I have never been there but some of the hidden gems I have found at Disney World appeal to her and she wants to know if they are available at Disneyland. First, do they hide paint brushes on the Disneyland version of Tom Sawyer Island? This may be a completely foolish question considering it appears to have given way to pirates but I said I would ask.

Second, is there a Captain Jack Pirate tutorial at Disneyland? My kids loved the one at Disney World and I am sure her boys would love it too if available.

No Paint brushes. that we could see. But they have a lot of cool interactive stuff on the Island. There's a pump the water out and reveal the treasure thing. There is a cage like they held the crew in in the second movie. There is a turn the yard arm and hoist the treasure. But if you turn it too far it sinks again. There is a cave with various effects. Also no Pirate Tutorial but there is a meet and greet with Jack. He spends a long time with each group so hit that one about 15 minutes before Jack is scheduled to appear. By the way hold on to your personal belongings.
There is also a pirate show on the Island that is nice and they have a warm up band of Pirate singers before the show that are funny and pretty good.

Both of these questions can be answered in one. Tom Sawyer Island is not called TSI anymore. Pirates have invaded and now the whole island is themed after the PotC movies, so, no, paintbrushes are not relavent (it was really fun finding one on our last/first WDW trip). Second, there is a pirate show held on the island, but there are also pirate characters that just wander the island throughout the day. It adds to the effect.
