My sister & I will both be on the regular dining plan when we are there early next month. We have TS ADR's every day, but we're wanting to try to split a CS breakfast and CS lunch/dinner each day (and then have our own snacks). Any suggestions for CS meals that are big enough to split? We're mainly going to be at MK and Epcot. Thanks!

At Cosmic Ray's in the MK, they have 1/2 a chicken, ribs, potatoes and veggie. Dh and I split this last year and it was plenty! you also could get the double burger option and they have a huge toppings bar.

I've also seen pictures of food from sunshine seasons in Epcot, and the Asian selections (I think you can pick 2 or 3), and it looks like a ton of food!

Forgot about the toppings bar - I've never had a burger there, but every time we've been there I always kick myself for not getting one just because of the toppings bar! Good tip!

Never eaten at Pecos Bills either but often hear about their toppings bar . . .

Great, now I'm hungrypopcorn::

Oh yea! Pecos Bills in MK get the double cheese burger combo load it with toppings and cut in half its huge! Also their chicken wrap is big and pretty good! The combos at Tangerine Cafe in WS, asian combos in SS in FW in EP. WGPE at DTD,pizza, quesdidillas, pocket sandwhiches! Just walk in most CS places and look at the food ppl are eatting and youll be able to tell whether its big enough!

My DD (14) and I shared lots of CS meals on the dining plan, especially with all the lunches and dinners including a dessert. We would get a combo breakfast at our resort and then split a lunch.

For example: at MK we shared meals at Cosmic Ray's ( ribs and chicken and dessert), Pecos Bill's (burger with lots of toppings and dessert), main street bakery (sandwich and turnover).

Some CS places that we've had meals that are big enough to split: Tangergine, Sunshine Seasons, Wolfgang Puck Express, Columbia Harbor House (the sandwiches are good size).

For breakfast, it might be more cost effective to just each get your own kids meal than splitting.

As far as the food court at Pop at least we found the CS Adult Breakfast Platter was more than enough for two people to share, even one of them a hungry teen. It came with scrambled eggs and sausage, which I ate, a biscuit, bacon, and potatoes, which he ate, and two French Toast sticks (which neither of us had room for, and I hadn't seen on the menus I'd looked at beforehand).

At AK, just FYI, Restaurantosaurus also had the toppings bar which can make one hamburger into a full meal.

Wanted to second Main Street Bakery in the MK. This was the sandwich we split, which also came with chips and a dessert (we chose the chocolate croissant, but the cinnamon roll was huge if you wanted to share that):

Love the picture from Main Street Bakery . . .thanks!! It's finally starting to dawn on me why I can walk 10 miles a day at Disney but still not lose any weight:rolleyes:

On dinning plan we always split two for three and have enough!! Never pay oop for any food on DDP.

I also agree with Tangerine Cafe (CS in Morrocco). DH and I split the chicken/lamb schwarma platter and it was definately enough for the 2 of us.(it was also delicious!). I know you said you will spend the most time at Epcot and MK...but if you do venture over to AK, the hot italian sandwich at Pizzafari and the rib platter at Flame Tree are both definately "shareable" :).

For breakfast at MK...our family uses 4 snack credits. We each pick out some fabulously delicious, sugar filled, HUGE thing and we divided each one 4 ways to share. It is our kids favorite breakfast. ;)

Can't wait to taste-test some HUGE sugar filled things from the Bakery! Thanks!

dd (24) & I on our 4th free DDP trip - definitely split CS breakfast and lunch. Except for Backlot Express where DD refuses to share her pulled pork sandwich, we have yet to find a CS meal not big enough to share!!!
We also like to get the packaged apple slices for dessert. They're good to munch on in line and there are usually way better snacks to be had - Dole Whips - funnel cake - those fabulous looking carrot cake cookies stuffed w/cream cheese - ok I'm drooling again :thumbsup2

carrot . . . .cake . . . . .cookies!?!? Where can I find these fabulous things?!

First let me say that my mom and dad share counterservices all the time. At the Roaring Fork at the WL they have the Bounty breakfast that comes with eggs, pancakes, hash browns, bacon, and two drinks (OJ, water etc) We usually get the resort mugs we fill them with coffee. For lunch, there is more that enough to share at most of the CS we've been to in the parks and the resorts. As far a carrot cake - I did get a little one with my lunch CS at Cosmic Ray's but you could probably also try the MK bakery and use a snack credit. Have a wonderful trip!

Thank you! The PP listed something about a carrot cake cookie with cream cheese in the middle. I'm definitely going to have to hunt that one down :)

The carrot cake cookie is located at Hollywood Studies. You can find it at the Writers Stop shop which is back near Muppets 3D.

I've just admired them. Never had one but they sure do look good. Just think, carrot cake and cream cheese frosting, how can it be anything but good?

Forgot to say thanks for letting us all know where they can be found. THANK YOU!!!:yay:
