Two parks in one day without hopper

Meanwhile I paid 8 gazillion dollars for hoppers for our trip last week and did not hop ONCE! Biggest waste of money.

I did too! The last family trip we were 9 and I added hoppers. We hopped one time for dinner. I swore that unless there was a good reason I will never add them again. I have them in place this trip but we are hopping quite a bit so I am good, but I tell you, I am still fuming about that sim of wasted money on that trip.

unless you are absolutely sure you are going to hop, you should not buy the ph option in advance. you can add it to you ticket at any point during your trip (the cost will be the same) ... so you won’t waste your money if you find that you don’t need to hop.

I have an AP and I could count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I have hopped in the last 30+ years. It just seems to take up so much time, plus going through security again, that it isn’t worth the hassle. I am not a midday break person either. If I leave the park I usually don’t go back.

And that's why the express bus was so wonderful. The two trips we used it , it was great for getting from one park to the other. Not so great for wheelchair users if you were renting at the parks. But I really wish they would bring that back.

I wish they would bring this back. I moved it too

I paid for park hoppers for our first trip and never used them either...I agree with you
I think hopping makes a lot more sense if you are staying on property and very near a park. We always hop but stay just a few minutes (walk, monorail or boat) from a park. Our routine is usually to hit one park before the crowds, use our FP+ during crowded early afternoon... We will return to our resort then walk/boat to the park(s) we are near for evening dinner/fireworks/attractions when crowds have diminished. Really very easy if staying at an MK or Epcot resort... For us fighting the crowds mid-afternoon only makes sense if you have non-hopper tickets and want to maximize your day at a single park. We do generally stay 8-12 days though.

We hopped in September more than in the past. Walking to MK from Contemporary in the evenings was great! We are staying at Beach Club in 20 days and plan on hopping to Epcot a lot in the evenings depending on crowds. This upcoming trip has me real worried lol

I would have HOPPED at least once, just because. We bought hoppers once when the kids were young and found them NOT to be useful but now that the kids are a bit older, i am thinking of trying out hopping again..

We use park hoppers primarily so we are not bound by having dinner at the park we are at on a particular day. We find we eat dinner most at EPCOT and we like to end our days there as well.
