Two parking questions, please

1) Our first night will be at POR but all other nights will be at POP. On the day we are to check out of POR and move over to POP we're planning to boat to DTD from POR area. May we leave our van parked at POR (where we will have just spent one night as a guest) until mid afternoon when we'll return by boat and then drive over to check into POP? Or will we have to move our van at POR's checkout time?

2) On our second night we're planning to drive to SOG to purchase our tickets before 5 pm when their ticket counter will close. From SOG we'd like to walk to POLY, monorail to GF and check out decorations. Then monorail back to POLY to sit on the beach to watch the EWP which doesn't start til 9 pm. Would we be able to leave our van at SOG from 4-ish until 9-something? I know I read somewhere about a 3 hr limit, and I've certainly read about it being taboo to park at a resort and then spend the day at the parks, but that's not the case with us. Would this be allowed?

No problem with #1-your parking permit goes until midnight the day you check out.

2. You might be better off parking at the TTC and monorailing throughout the resorts.

About the SOG ticket counter. According to their website, you can purchase park tickets 0800 til 2100 hrs (9pm). Where did you hear it closes at 5? I need to know since we're traveling there next fall and won't be arriving til late afternoon.

We were told the ticket counter/customer service area where we will pick up our pre-paid MVMCP tickets is only open from 8-5. For regular tickets the counter is open later, but for the MVMCP tickets we'll have to be there before 5 pm. Sorry if my post caused any confusion.

Last December, when SOG was at the Contemporary, the ticket office had a 5pm closing time. It probably went back to 9pm now that they are back home.
