That's correct. It's because with the single-day tickets, $104 is the cheapest price right now, to be used on those specific dates. The two-day pass can be used on any dates.
It's because one day tickets use tiers while multi day tickets do not. A one day ticket can be as much as $179 for a non hopper. But some days do work out cheaper to buy as one day tickets if you're going on a lower tier day. I went with some friends recently and it was cheaper for them to buy two 1-day tickets than a 2-day tonight.
It also costs more to add a hopper to a 1 day ticket versus a multi day (it's $65 to add a hopper to a 1 day; $60 to add to a multi day).
If you're sure of your days, it can be cheaper to get a 1-day ticket instead of a multi day ticket sometimes.
But as @Kender says, if you are adding a PH, it is $60 TOTAL for all days of a multi-day ticket. It is $65 per day on each day of a one day ticket. So make sure to do that math as well.

It's $65 to add to the one day. $60 to add to a multi day. Not the other way around. They really want you buying a multi day and will let you save $5 if you want it to be a hopper
