Ok, my Disney scheming wheels are turning...

If you book two consecutive nights at a DVC resort...one on points and one using cash (AP room only discount) in the same room category, is it possible/probable you can stay in the same room for both of the nights? I have enough points for one night in a Kidani 1 BR savannah view, but would really like to stay two nights. Borrowing points is not an option.

Anyone have any input on the best way to do this?

If you have the same size/type/view booked for both reservations, you would in all likelihood be able to keep the same villa. You would have to go to the front desk to check out & check in, get another set of key cards etc.

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards App please excuse any typos.

Thanks for the quick reply! That would be awesome because it would definitely save us some cash AND keep us from having any unused points go to waste!

But since the reservations could not be linked, you might also have to move. I'd be prepared to move. Could you book the cash night through MS instead? Then you could link them.

Hmmm...how does that work? Can you book AP room discounts through MS? I have never had an Annual Pass before this...

No, you can't book an AP discount through MS. But sometimes you can get the member discount if it is available.

The discount with Annual Pass is most always a better discount, so check prices. The best way is to ask at check in to remain in the same room. You will have to check out and check in, again but should be able to keep the same room.
