Two new attractions for Disney Studios UPDATE

Agree a separate park would work well but there is no way I'd want to see Marvel in the current parks . Separately, fine.

I still don't 'see' Marvel or Muppets as Disney either Ms Poppins....

I like Disney as the the more original Walt's fluffy, dream like stuff but that's me....

I think we'll see a Marvel 3rd gate and not Marvel rides in our other 2 parks.

As part of the land deal they have to make a 3rd gate by a certain date (2020?) or they lose the spare land. There's no way they'd want to lose that land as a rival might open near them.

They've mentioned a Marvel park before and I think it would be a good fit in Paris. I don't want to see Marvel in Disneyland park!

Originally the Project plan called for a 3rd gate in 2017 - but I believe quite recently they negotiated to extend that agreement to 2030. Considering Studios stuck to the original agreement I'm not surprised they extended it, Studios really needed more time in the oven before being built to meet the 2002 deadline

As for a replacement for EO, it needs to be something futuristic IMO, heres hoping that Disney puts something new there sooner rather than later (I continue to hope for a form of Soarin!)

Me too...a Disneyland Resort must be about Disney and not about Superheroes..
I suppose that would be popular with kids anyway

Soarin' would be great in Discoveryland! And it'd make that deserted back end of the park a lot more hospitable.

Also, the new Star Tours has to be on the cards at some point? Surely?

Sorry - but I for one would WEE myself with excitement if there was a Marvel park or even a Marvel ride in Discoveryland! DH would too - I have had to stop him getting 'MARVEL' tattooed on the bottom of his foot in the past!

I love Marvel *almost* as much as I love Disney - but not quite!

Same in our house - DBf loves Disney but introduce marvel to the mix and we'd be moving next door!

Donc pas de 2ème attraction en 2014 pour les Walt Disney Studios.

I got confirmation from Disneyland Paris that it is an error of Figaro reporter who transcribed the interview badly.

So no second attraction in 2014 for Walt Disney Studios.
