We are about two months from our first trip to DL in a LOOOOONG time... What should we be doing if anything to get ready??? We have our hotel ressies and passes bought...Any advice would be great.. Thanks!

I have about 2 months also, and I'm chomping at the bit!!!! Right now I'm trying to figure out my PS meals. I want to do a planned meal once a day and schedule around the daily PS.

pull up a comfy chair and hang out here :)

Did you make PS arrangements for your dinning at the resort. If you have any place special you want to eat you will need to make reservations for NR, Steakhouse 55, BB, RBJK, Yamabuki just to name a few. We have done this for our last 2 trips and it made everything alot easer. You can only make these PS arrangements 60 days out. Enjoy!

Agree with MommyWithDreams. Hang out with us cause we all understand how hard it is to wait. lol I'm just under three months. :)

Well, as others have said, make your PS arrangements. Make a list of things you need to pack.

This is about the time we start watching all of our Disney movies again. It's tradition for us to watch them all before we leave for DLR.

I am at the 2 month mark too ....I am looking forward to making my PS's tomorrow!! Yay!!!

Ooops! I hit enter before I had finished typing.

Between now and our trip........

I need to find little goodies for the kids each day. "Tinkerbell" comes to our room each night and leaves a small surprise for each of them.

I need to plan out snacks to bring for the park and the plane.

I had need to print out the Disney images I had made by the creative folks on this board, and iron them onto t-shirts for DS & DD.

Lastly, we will be coming from Seattle (we have snow on the ground today), so I need to get all the summer clothes out of their boxes and decide what to pack.

Well, to fill your time:

1. If you're flying, make sure you have your ground transportion nailed down.

2. Have the broad strokes of your daily agenda's on paper. You won't be able to do detailed plans until entertainment schedules come out, but it will help to know your touring plans. (BTW...share these with the kiddies, if you have some. I've found that my boys are willing to bypass attractions if they know when we'll be coming back for them.)

3. Start planning your scrapbook! Buy a book and paper. I know some gals start their layouts before they leave...I can't do that, but I do have the materials purchased and ready for the photos.

4. Buy 2 gallon ziplock bags so you'll be ready to pack when the time comes. If you're super-organized, label each one with the outfit that will go in it.

5. Start looking for fun tips. For example, if you can find glow-in-the-dark hair gel, buy it for the day you're doing the dark rides. I couldn't find any last year, but I'm going to start looking again soon!

6. Are you a penny squisher? Put together your M&M tubes of quarters and pennies so they're ready to go.

7. Prepack your fanny packs/backpacks, etc. Ditto anything that you won't use in the next two months...like maybe swimsuits.

Hm...that's about all I can come up with right now! Somehow I do all this stuff early and it still always feels like I'm rushed to get everything done on time!

you know what else we have been doing, is rewatching our fav disney movies, and also watching ones the kids have never seen before. like, they've never seen mary poppins, and i saw on here somewhere that mary poppins is sometimes there, so we watched it.

i feel like i can't really do anything else to get ready, so i'm just sitting on my hands !!!!!!!!!!
