Well, I've got a run/walk in two days in a row! WooHoo!!
Now this may not not sound like much, but after fighting some injuries, losing motivation and being a slug, I got two workouts in a row done!

Yesterday I did 2 miles and today a 5K. I'm also doing the "Tour de family room" (my version of cycling on my spinner while watching the Tour de France.)

I felt really good after my run today and my time wasn't too bad (especially after the long lay-off), so hopefully I can stay on the training schedule. I better, since I have the RnR half in Providence in one month! :scared1:
I'm going to try for 5 miles tomorrow.

Happy 4th of July weekend to eveyone.

I've been a bit of a slug, lately, as well. I ran a 5k last Sunday, but haven't worked out all week. Need to get my own rear in gear! ;)
 
Awesome! Feels good to get in those workouts after battling injuries! Hope you're feeling better Terri!
 
Great that you are out and about coming off injuries, etc...

But putting the coach cap on for a minute... For a few weeks, try to spread the runs out so they are every other day at best.

Go Team Garmin Cervelo... at least until the Pyrenees.
 

I gotta agree with Coach Charles too - great that you are getting in the workouts and all, but it is probably best to run every other day at most for a couple weeks. You should be able to bike or otherwise cross-train on the "off" days though.

Thanks guys! I know I have to pace myself so I don't overdo it and get re-injured. But with my schedule, I have to get in the steps when I can.
Since I do run/walks (and I'm not a speed demon, by any stretch), I'm feeling ok. I did a one mile walk only on Monday and today got 2.5 miles r/w in.

My streak will end as tomorrow and Thursday will be off-days (or a bike ride on my "Tour") depending on when I get home. I have to work late both days, so not sure when I'll get home.

I'm just happy I wasn't feeling horrible after these few workouts.
