Two great inexpensive additions to our Christmas

As luck would have it, both are from Yankee Candle. (And, no, I'm not on their payroll, though I should seriously consider getting some stock.)

It smells like there's a Christmas tree hidden somewhere. EVERY single time my daughter gets into my car, she comments on how it smells like Christmas.

They make our artificial tree smell like the real thing. A neighbor commented yesterday that he was surprised to see that we had gotten a real tree. We didn't. We did update our old tree, and got a few of these ornaments, and he was completely fooled. Just getting up this morning and inhaling the scent in the living room put me in the Christmas mood.


Right now, both are buy 3, get 1 free. YOu can mix and match. I got 2 more clips, and 2 ornaments, for about $15.

Did you get the ornaments in the store? I have been using my wax tarts all day every day since I put the tree up, but I would love to not have too.

When we were unpacking ornaments, I found some "Sparkling Snow" scented ornaments. I think I got them last year in the Black Friday basket/special. They were unopened, so we put a couple on our tree--they look like glittery snowflakes, you'd have to be close to distinguish them from real ornaments. And they smell nice.

I like the idea of the ornaments, because then you aren't burning stuff. I do burn Yankee Candles, almost year-round, but in a different room from my tree. So, it would be nice to have the tree smell in the tree room. But, maybe next year, since I have my Sparkling Snow.

I also put in a car clip from the same package, I think (I don't typically buy the car clips, I get the cardboard thingies). So, we're fresh and festive in our neck of the woods!

My parents like the Yankee Candle "Kindle Candles", which are used to get your woodburning fireplace or fire pit going without having to use a bunch of paper/cardboard. I don't think they have any kind of scent but just make getting their winter indoor fire and summer outdoor fires going a little easier.
