Two family`s one world!
I`ve been planning this trip since May! Here are the cast members
Me (early for everything , so we dont miss it) also celebrating a birthday this trip
my DH (he follows me and says ok , whatever you wanna do)
my DD-10 (the birthday princess who reached double digits this trip!)
my DD-8 (climber of anything he can climb on, and totally here to torture his sister!
And the 2nd family
Sandy (my close friend who plans nothing)
Her DH Michael who also follows me and says ok what next)
and their kids twins 7 y/o 1 boy (who wants to do everything twice b/c he is fascinated with it all and his sister (who tells every character they are her favorite!)
This is our last morning to be woken up by Mickey. We call down for our bags to be picked up and get the bus to MGM for our last adr at Primetime 50`s cafe. My DH wants me to see the stunt show so we go straight there and no line! YAY I do stop and grab FP for our other family, since they are driving and have no particular time to leave and drive 25 hours back to jersey.
YIKES!
Since they have never been to prime time 50`s , I tell the hostess we need lots of scolding, that the kids r really bad! Lunch was great, lots of role playing, lots of scolding. A great end to a great vacation! We hug our other family and say goodbye and we`re on the bus for the last time back to POP to get our bags and wait for the bus to take us to the airport. This is the only problem I had the whole vacation...............the disney busses drop everyone off in the same place..............so we are walking with all our luggage, and 2 small children thru the largest airport in the world with 5 huge suitcases, 2 rolling carryons and a very heavy camera bag...........and of course us air is the farthest airline for check in. Then they have the stupidest self check in. I needed help anyway, as most others did also! I dunno y they think this is the right way to run things. Then u wait in another line for them to take your luggage from you. It was lucky for us that the airport was not crowded....................all the people were still in disney!
I was sad to leave, but happy to be home , in my own bed with no small child kicking me thruout the nite...............just a snoring husband, that I could deal with! LOL
final thoughts:
I`m glad we took time to stop and smell the roses this trip (or stop and find the hidden mickeys!)
I`m glad I had made alot of ADR`s...........counter service sucks, one can only eat so many greasy burgers and greasy fries!
It was nice to share this trip with close friends, especially ones that have never been here, but I`m glad we weren`t glued to the hip 24/7.
Christmas decorations were wonderful and I loved seeing it all decorated!
I loved the weather, even though we couldnt swim, it was nice not sweltering while waiting in lines.
Disney is magical, if you let it be!
