Two families

Hi, what do you guys all do when you go to WDW with another family? Do you all go to the same park, book same FP+'s, dine together etc or do you have separate days out? I'm thinking same park but each family have their own freedom to tour as they wish and then we maybe meet up for lunch etc? I understand it can be harder to get the FP+ times you want if you are a larger party and there may be some attractions more/less important to my family than what might be for the other family so individual touring plans might help?

But then saying that, we're all on vacation together and it'd be a shame not to spend it together...

Any thoughts?

If it was me I'd make ADRs together and plan some pool time together. Maybe overlap a little time here or there. But you couldn't pay me enough money to plan every moment together.

I would be so nervous to be beholden to another family for all day. When we went with the SIL/BIL/MIL and FIL, we had common meals, and would set a time to meet up at the bus/monorail/boat stop in the morning. We would plan to meet at say, 8:15, and anyone who wanted to come along would come, anyone who wanted to sleep in would call us later to meet up.

I think some FP+ coordination would be okay if it's around meal time and you'll be gathering anyway. But, I wouldn't want to wait around for anyone at any time, because I've got riding to do!!

We are traveling with my cousin, her husband and their three kids in June. We booked all our fast passes together and a few dinners together. They are also staying at a different hotel which will allow for some time apart. I think it's easier to plan as much together then go your separate ways during the trip if needed. It would be tough to make last minute ADR or FPP to try and get together.

Thanks for speedy replies! Sounds like the best plan is to try and go to same park and possibly book some ADR's together but go off with our own families to tour in that case!
