Two elementary questions

Well, these seem like easy and silly questions to me, but I haven't been able to figure it out during my obsessive planning.

1. Does the regular dining plan (not the deluxe) include an appetizer with TS meals, or not? The WDW website indicates as much, but I thought I had heard differently here. I will simply curl up in a ball if I can't have the cheese soup at Le Cellier.

2. I thought I had read that if you are staying onsite, you can call at 90 + 10 days before your arrival to book your ADRs. Is this true or not? Can you book all of the ADRs for your entire stay on that one day, or do I have to call back every day for a week?

Thanks. Stupid questions, yes, but I want the most out of this vacation and that equals planning!

The way I understand it is that the appetizer is only for the 3-9 year old dining plan participants.

Sammi, you're right. That's what I get for not reading the website as carefully as I should. :headache:

Hmm... okay, this leads me to another question - DH and I are not really dessert people. Does anyone think they would let us swap an appetizer for a dessert at some TS places, or no?

TIA.

This question has been asked many times before on the boards and the replies have always been no - substitutions such as this have not been allowed. I personally have not tried this but others claim that it isn't allowed.

No you cant swap. And the 90+10 means you can call on day 90 from arrival and book the next 10 days instead of having to call back every day

If you are staying on site, you should be able to call 90 days before your arrival date and make ADRs for your entire trip (unless you are staying more than 10 days). For example, we are going on 9/25 and our 90 day window opens up on 6/27 (I think). I can call on 6/27 and make ADR's for 9/25, 9/26, 9/27 . . . 10/2 (the end of our trip). I do not have to call back on 6/28 for ADRs for 9/26.

As for your first question, I do not think appetizers are included. However, if you really have to have the soup, you could always just pay OOP for it.

You call on your 90th day and at that point you can make reservations for the first ten days of your stay as long as you are staying onsite.

when on a dining plan-- and want something extra cant we pay for it?
The dining plan gives you a entree and a dessert and a drink- could we pay OPP for any extras?

Appetizers are not included and no substituting allowed. We always just pay out of pocket for any appys we want

Le Cellier also offers a three course fixed price menu that can be ordered by guests on the basic dining plan and the offered appetizers include the soup. You'd be restricted to the entrees on the fixed price menu, however, because they don't allow substitutions, and the more expensive entrees are not included.
