Two DTD Dining Questions

My first question is for those of you who have recently eaten at Planet Hollywood. It has been several years since we have eaten there. How is the quality of their food? We were not overly impressed in 1996, but I have a coupon and figured that we'd try, try, try again.

My second question is.... Does Planet Hollywood or the McDonalds at DTD take Disney Dollars?

I can say that the McDonalds did not as of last year when I went .

I do not believe that Planet H. does.

For some reason I remember this being on here before.People had said that they are not accepted at stores and resturants not owned by Disney .

I could be wrong .

We also ate at Planet Hollywood several years ago and didn't think it was that great. However, we had a coupon and tried it again about 6 months ago, and thought it was pretty good. It's not a stop I'll make every trip, but I'm no longer against going back there again.

I don't think either place takes Disney dollars, since they are not official Disney restaurants.

We had eaten at PH in 95 & 98 and really enjoyed it. We decided to go back again last month, against a lot of advice from this board. Once again we were very happy. Our service was a little slow at first and I thought... Oh great, this is what everyone was warning me about, but once we got our drinks, it picked up. We were a little early for our PS but seated right away, so maybe they werent fully ready for us.
The food was very good. I had the LA Lasagna which was excellent....different, but not too funky for me. DH had the chicken broccoli & pasta dish which was very good too but the pasta was a little under cooked. The other couple with us had the fajita and I think the surf & turf. They were impressed too. Their initial thought when looking at the menu was that it was over priced, but once they got their food they felt it was worth it.
The atmosphere was fun and the kids loved singing along to the music.
