Two Disney Dorks Celebrate 5 Years of Wedded Bliss!-UPDATED 9/3! The Final Wrap-Up :(

Lynda, JUST to make sure this time, wrap you're whole self in bubble wrap as you step off the bus...

NO INJURIES!

Knock on wood!

Cant wait to read the real
thing. But it's half the fun, planning!

So you're getting tanned? AND skinny??? CANT wait!

Lynda when you posted it was Tuesday here so you weren't early at all, 1 month to go :cool1:

Well, now I am not at all early in saying...we leave 3 weeks from today! :woohoo:

I am enjoying your Pre-TR and can't wait to read more. I would love to do the Keys to the Kingdom Tour...we are doing the Segway Tour instead. But we do have some free days, so we shall see.

We have done Backstage Magic and loved it. But I am really fond of MK, so I am looking forward to this too. I can't wait! :cool1:

LOL! My DH LOVES the Spanish monorail warning (he's Puerto Rican after all)...he says it in the voice and everything! LOL!!!! Too Funny!

:rotfl: My DH is most definitely NOT Puerto Rican, and he does it in the voice too! Of course, I attempt it at times myself, so I don't have much room to talk! I did take Spanish in high school though. We have actually gotten pretty decent at it. And for our May '05 trip, we took a couple of friends, and as a joke, DH had t-shirts made for all of us with it on them! :lmao: I still have it, but it's huge so I only wear it around the house or to sleep in.

It's something you block out when you are in WDW but now that I'm not I miss it!! I can't wait to hear it in June again!!! :goodvibes

:goodvibes Yeah, it's just one of those little things I love.

Geez, Lynda. You just had a trip, didn't you?

Well, I'm excited that you're going again, and I hope you don't get stalked
by LGMH scary people. :rolleyes1 (You know I wouldn't knock on your
door at 4am! LOL)

I'm looking forward to another vicarious trippie thrill. :woohoo:

:rotfl: I did just finish my other TR. But believe it or not, that trip was 6 months ago! :scared1: And you know I need my Disney fix!

No, I know you wouldn't, and if you did, I'd know who you were, and I'd just tell Josh, "Hey, that crazy redhead is here! And she's doing that vmk dance. What should I do?!?" :rotfl2: Just kidding! ya! Miss ya! I think we're planning to head your way this summer to buy a bed at Ikea and meet some other DISers and see the AKL room at Woodfield. I'll keep you posted! ;)

I will be there to stalk her!!! ;) Hope to meet up at AC on 5/19/07!! It will be easy since I know what she looks like and she doesn't know me! :cool2:

:rotfl: Ha, ha! But I have changed my hair a bit, dropped some weight, and I now have a tan - will you still be able to recognize me?...Yes, you will. DH hasn't changed a bit, and I am easily spotted and recognized for some reason. And I do hope we see you there! :)

YouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuHooooooooooooooo! Lynda, where are you? How are all your plans comeing along? Have you done any disney shopping lately?

Hi! :teeth: I'm alive! I have been so busy! We moved in our new king sized mattress last weekend, and I've been trying to get the house in good shape. We started taking Jasper to agility class again. And I have been doing some writing other than the trip report! :scared1: BUT, I have been to Old Navy and a Coach outlet! I'll try to post some pictures soon! ;) And give a real update too!

:lmao: You are so silly! I love it! But I think bubble wrap would be a little warm in Florida in May! :scared:

No injuries though! I must say all the exercising I've been doing is really helping! My ankle hasn't been sore at all in a few weeks. I just hope it stays that way!

It's only 3 weeks away now! :yay: And I LOVE the planning! :goodvibes

And this Saturday, I'm getting my hair cut, and the Saturday before we leave, I'm getting my highlights and lowlights refreshed! I'm gonna be one HOT Peep, huh? :rotfl:

:lmao: i just had a mental image of this.......too funny!

I know! She's a riot, isn't she?

14 days until you leave!! We need an update soon!! ;) Have you finished buying everything you'll need yet?

14 days until you leave!! We need an update soon!! ;) Have you finished buying everything you'll need yet?

HOW did I miss this? Oh, I know! Work has been INSANE! It is putting a serious cramp in my DISing habit! Anywho,...

YEAH BABY! :woohoo: We leave in 13 days now! And we are doing some shopping this weekend. And tomorrow, I plan to post an update to our shopping so far. We have been pretty busy and have just been doing what we could when we could. Oh, and our dryer isn't working!!! They are coming on Tuesday to look at it. I REALLY hope they are able to fix it then and there because I have no desire to hang up all of the laundry I need to do to dry! We are talking trip laundry here! I try to get EVERYTHING clean before we leave for WDW, and I have no dryer! So, I am behind on regular laundry, and I will have to play catch up when it is working again. :sad2: But hopefully it's an easy fix, and DH will be motivated to help because we will be packing!

He is on his way home right now, and we are going to go get dinner, go by Linens & Things to look at the scales since mine is being wonky, and go to WalMart or somewhere we can get some of our shopping done for the trip and I can get some oragel or something. I have a sore inside my lip from one of my teeth, I think (The tooth is rotated, and I believe it will ultimately require surgery to get it fixed! :scared1: ), and the tooth keeps touching it, so I am having trouble getting it to go away, and I want it gone before we leave!

So, there will be more tomorrow. I have a few pictures to take and upload, and I'll share tales of our shopping excursions! :thumbsup2

Well, make it snappy sister. ;) (the pictures I mean)

13 days will be over like THAT! :hourglass

I get those stupid canker sores in my mouth a lot.. I am a "cheek biter" so sometimes that causes them. Ouchie Mouchie!!! If you put hydrogen peroxide directly on it, with a Qtip, it helps the healing process. It will sting like a %^$* though!!!

OK, that's all I have for now. More later!...Like maybe Peep meet plans? Wonders??? Wehn do you know your plans? :yay:

I have a tentative schedule on my Pre-TR as you have already seen ;) My only problem is I feel bad telling my friend where I want to go when the last time she was there was 2 years ago and the last time I was there was in January - and I'm going back again in June! We are going to be all over the parks during the day though so keep a lookout for me...I'm gonna try to get some LGMH before I leave and I'll post a picture on my Pre-TR so you have an idea of what I look like now!

I will be there to stalk her!!! ;) Hope to meet up at AC on 5/19/07!! It will be easy since I know what she looks like and she doesn't know me! :cool2:

Cool...I'm trying to get myself to AC on the 19th too, maybe I'll get to meet 2 DISers!

I love the shopping updates! :goodvibes I'm in the process of my trip shopping as well.

Major ouch for your tooth/mouth! Have you tried Ambesol? My mom uses it sometimes for canker sores and I guess it works. Or is that only for the outside? Or try swushing with warm salt water. Again, mom always tells me to do that if something hurts in my mouth. I never do it though because I'm as stubborn as a mule. I'm sure it will be gone and healed by your trip - stay away from acidic food that may be hindering the healing process. :wizard:

Lynda, I am looking forward to an update as well. I love hearing about what other people get for their trip because it reminds me of things I should be getting. I'm sorry to hear about the sore mouth. I buy something called Glyoxide. It tastes bad but it works. My mom is also a big fan of warm salt water. I hope the dryer thing works out as well. Hopefully, it is a quick fix. :)

Only 12 days to go now  Hope your dryer gets fixed and your mouth gets better that sounds painful! Trouble is even the smallest little sore feels massive in your mouth and it's so hard then not to catch it :scared:

So what did you buy? what did you buy? :hyper:

OK, folks! Update as promised!

DH and I have been pretty busy lately, and I don't even know why exactly! Agility classes have started up again after a 3 week break, so there goes our Tuesday nights, but it sure is cute to watch Jasper make those jumps! :cutie: On our to do list is giving her a bath on Sunday. She is STANKY! We don't want to leave my mom with a stanky puppy...even if she is adorable. :rotfl: Of course, we've also had new episodes of all of our favorite shows to watch lately - Heroes, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, American Idol. And guess what? We are going to miss the season finales of all of those! That's right. They are ALL on the week that we're gone. SO, we will have lots of shows to watch on the DVR when we get home! What did we do before our DVR? I think there used to be this thing called a CVR, or CRV, or VRC, or VCR - yeah! VCR, that's it! What ever happened to those? With the weather improving, DH has worked a lot of late nights lately. People just want to buy cars more when there isn't 14 inches of snow on the ground. Go figure! :confused3 And of course, I have been working out a lot. I wanna hit that goal in time for the trip!

DH has ordered and received some pins for the trip (Yes, there were a few in there that we needed! :thumbsup2) and organized some that he already had. He had to see what duplicates he had to trade. I think he has enough to last us through the next 2 trips now! Here are a few of the ones he had already, before placing the order.

A couple of weeks ago, DH and I ventured over to the outlet mall about 45 minutes away to check out the new Old Navy that had just opened up there and see his sister and her DH. I picked up a few items there and learned about what would fit, so I could place my online order! All together, I believe I acquired about 5 shirts, 4 camis, a pair of roll-up cargo capris (a fave of mine, especially for WDW trips!), a pair of shorts, and a pair of camo cargo capris. You'll get to see those in the trip pictures. I also got 2 pairs of wedge flip flops that I LOVE and ordered a new pair of Chuck Taylor's! I have a pair of hot pink ones that I adore, but these are...well, let me show you...

149644603-M.jpg

I  polka dots! And pink! Can't go wrong when you put them both on some Chuck's! No, I will not wear any of these shoes to the parks. I WILL wear them to DTD/PI though. I have a tennie collection for the parks that I have acquired over the past couple of years. I have pink Nike shocks, 2 pair of Nike Free tennies, and my most recent addition (for this trip) are some Adidas (can't remember what they're called) that DH recommended because he was buying the men's pair and has owned similar ones in the past. They rock! So comfy! :cloud9: I will probably wear those the most.

Then, we had to go to the Coach outlet. I had acquired a Coach purse at the Orlando outlet last May on our trip, and I  it! But it had gotten some spots on the fabric part, and I wanted it clean for our trip. At the outlet store here, I was informed that they couldn't clean the particular type of leather on it, but I could buy the fabric cleaner and use it on the fabric. (The leather is like baseball glove leather and just has to age. I was more worried about the fabric anyway.) So, of course, I had to look around while we were there. And I fell in love with a little pink signature print purse. After leaving and dining with my sister-in-law and her DH (at one of my favorite pizza places :cloud9: ), my DH asked me if I wanted it as an early anniversary present! :yay: Yeah! And when we got home, I successfully cleaned my current purse. So, here they both are...

149649393-M.jpg

You can see how the leather has aged on the older, striped one. But I still love it!

Last Saturday, I went to get my hair cut. I was going for something a little different. I had her take LOTS out of the back. It is shorter in the back than the front now, and she removed a lot of bulk back there. She also gave me more layers. Next week, I'll be getting it highlighted. But here's a picture of the cut.

So, last night DH and I went shopping at good ole Tarjay. Man, I LOVE that store! We have more to do, but we wanted to get started since we were there anyway for my mouth sore remedy. (These little Orajel discs that stick to the sore and allow it to heal while numbing it up a bit - slightly odd, but wonderful relief! Not much taste to them at all either! :thumbsup2 ) So, we picked up a few items in the travel size section. The regulars for DH - body wash, toothpaste, mouthwash, etc., etc. (I am a little high maintenance :rolleyes1 and require my full size hair products and toothpaste for long-ish trips. princess:  ) But we did pick up a few good finds while there. Here are a few highlights...

149644492-M.jpg

Gotta have the gum for when we drive through the mountains! Band-aids are essential, and I love the multicolored anitbiotic kind, but wanted to have some waterproof ones as well, and why not fun ones? I know, I know, there are Disney waterproof tatoo ones. Why didn't I buy those, you might ask? I just HAD to have Strawberry Shortcake! I grew up on Strawberry Shortcake, and these were just too cute! :rotfl: The sunblock stick for touch ups throughout the day! :thumbsup2 Highly portable little Clorox wipe packs! We took a whole container last time and didn't use THAT many, so I thought we'd give this a try. And of course, Ace heat therapy patches in case of injuries (No! :sad2: No injuries this time, PLEASE!) or aches.

I also thought I'd show ya my new lens that I will be taking on it's first trip to The World. It will likely only be joining us on Animal Kingdom day because of it's size, but I am very excited about the pictures it will allow me to take on Kilamanjaro Safaris and at Festival of the Lion King! :yay: I left one of my Chuck's in the picture to give you some perspective on just how big this lens is. It is almost as long as my size 9 shoe!

149644752-M.jpg

DH also placed an order yesterday for a couple of new things for Jasper, for Mom to give her while we're gone. Try to tell me our dog isn't spoiled!

Still on our to do list is to finish shopping, clean out the van, give the puppy a bath, do lots of laundry once the dryer is working, and pack! Less than 2 weeks to go!

Well, make it snappy sister. ;) (the pictures I mean)

13 days will be over like THAT! :hourglass

:goodvibes There ya go! Updated WITH pictures! ;) Now it's 12 days, and did you see our to do list? :scared1: We are SO on it this weekend! Next weekend is Mother's Day, so not much will be getting done then! Yikes!

I get those stupid canker sores in my mouth a lot.. I am a "cheek biter" so sometimes that causes them. Ouchie Mouchie!!! If you put hydrogen peroxide directly on it, with a Qtip, it helps the healing process. It will sting like a %^$* though!!!

Oh, I bet that does sting! I have a rotated tooth that sometimes rubs on the inside of my lower lip (It's one of the pointier ones - whatever those are called! ), and I have had a sore in the very same spot before. Next time I go to the dentist, I have decided to ask to see what would be involved in fixing my teeth, and what it would cost. :scared1: (I have 3 others that are rotated because my jaws aren't wide enough to accomodate all the teeth - just not enough space - so some turned to make room.) Did you see in my update what I bought to help with the sore? The orajel discs - it really helped! I am gonna go put in another one here shortly.

My word I'm exhausted just reading that  Your Lens is huge you'll get some great Safari photos with that :thumbsup2 Good job you showed a photo of your Chuck Taylor's as I had no clue what they were :lmao: And I think I said before but your hair looks great!

I understand that! We have a friend who we always meet up with who lives in Lakeland, and she always just "goes along for the ride". She gets to go all the time, so she doesn't want to dictate what we do. She knows she'll be back. I will have LGMH too! Both camera bags and my lanyard have them, so we shouldn't be too hard to spot. I'll keep an eye out for ya! ;) Hope we find each other! :goodvibes

Cool...I'm trying to get myself to AC on the 19th too, maybe I'll get to meet 2 DISers!

That would be a blast! The more, the merrier! :yay:

I love the shopping updates! :goodvibes I'm in the process of my trip shopping as well.

Major ouch for your tooth/mouth! Have you tried Ambesol? My mom uses it sometimes for canker sores and I guess it works. Or is that only for the outside? Or try swushing with warm salt water. Shopping updates are the best, aren't they? So many ideas!

I thought about Ambesol, but a coworker suggested the Orajel things I ended up with, and they are nice! I usually save salt water as a last ditch effort - yucky! And I am stubborn too. I went and ate salsa last night! :sad2: Didn't order it, but my younger sister-in-law works at Chili's now, and she brought us some. And I can't resist their chips and salsa!

Well, update completed! There ya go! I hope it is inspirational! Thanks for the well wishes. :goodvibes I have never heard of Glyoxide. Is it in the same place as the Ambesol and Orajel? Hey, are you going to do a trip report?

Only 12 days to go now  Hope your dryer gets fixed and your mouth gets better that sounds painful! Trouble is even the smallest little sore feels massive in your mouth and it's so hard then not to catch it :scared:

So what did you buy? what did you buy? :hyper:

:yay: I know! :yay: Thanks, and you are so right about mouth sores. I never understand how they manage to heal in the environment of your mouth. But I'm sure thankful that they eventually do!

See above! ;)

My word I'm exhausted just reading that  Your Lens is huge you'll get some great Safari photos with that :thumbsup2 Good job you showed a photo of your Chuck Taylor's as I had no clue what they were :lmao: And I think I said before but your hair looks great!

:rotfl: Yeah, it was kinda exhausting writing it too! :rotfl: I am hoping for some nice safari photos! ;) on the Chuck's. They are also called Converse All-Stars. Converse is the company that makes them. Chuck Taylor was a basketball player and shoe salesman associated with these shoes. And way back in the day, I had the high top version of them in pink and in red! Here's the catalog website if you're interested. There is quite the variety! http://www.converse.com/index.asp?bhcp=1#

Great update! I love the pictures! Your purses are so cute! :cutie: I am a girly girl too so I love how even your band aids are fashionable! I am a child of the 80's myself so I hear you on the Strawberry Shortcake. I DO feel inspired to go to Tarjay and pick up some things. I hadn't thought about doing a trip report but I will think about it. I will look forward to your next update!:goodvibes

Thanks for updating us, Lynda! I love your purchases!
DH has ordered and received some pins for the trip (Yes, there were a few in there that we needed! :thumbsup2) and organized some that he already had.
See...this is why I'm not sure I should start with the pin trading! Looks addictive....NOF, Josh! ;)
I  polka dots! And pink! Can't go wrong when you put them both on some Chuck's!
The Chucks are adorable! The purses are fabulous! You KNOW I love the haircut! You are the coolest. In fact, Lynda...I have decided that you are a grownup, married, combination edition of my girls! DD13 loves the clothes, Coach purses, shoes and of course Mimi would be purchasing the lense and getting the razor cut. ;)
So, last night DH and I went shopping at good ole Tarjay. Man, I LOVE that store!
I often think that there are very few material things in life that I need that cannot be purchased at Target. Honestly!
DH also placed an order yesterday for a couple of new things for Jasper, for Mom to give her while we're gone.
What about Oliver!

Great update, girl! No last minute ADR changes? Itinerary changes? Nuttin? You must be satisfied with your plan...and that's a good thing! Keep it comin!

Just now hopping on and I'm loving the report!! What beatiful children you have! You leave in two weeks, I bet the anticipation is building up inside you like a shaken soda pop. I've only made it to page two so far, but I'll be back to finish reading a little later. Thank You!
