1. What is better at Crystal Palace, breakfast or lunch? We would not be doing an early (before opening) breakfast - my choice is between a late breakfast (around 10:15) and an early lunch (around 11:30).

We did a late breakfast there last trip and it was great. I loved the food and the characters came around for a second visit once most people had cleared out. So I am leaning that way. Just wondering if the lunch food is as good as or better than breakfast and what your thoughts are on character interactions at those two times.

2. On our non-parks day we plan to eat an early dinner at 'Ohana and then go to Ft. Wilderness for the singalong and movie. Since we go in February, the sing along starts at 7pm. We currently have a 5pm ADR at 'Ohana. I feel like that isn't going to be enough time to eat and travel. I don't want to be rushed but I also don't want to have tons of extra time between the two activities. What do you all think?

Thanks,
Terri

1. I thought the CP lunch food was fabulous. Characters were great. Some people get the very latest breakfast ADR and eat slowly so they end up getting lunch food.

We love CP for breakfast...did lunch last December and did not care for it AT ALL! Food just okay, characters not as fun etc....was not a good experience!!

Won't be doing lunch there again...breakfast yes.

I can't comment on CP for lunch. We have had dinner there and it was great! DD loved the character interaction there too!

I would say that you might be cutting it close on the travel time from Poly to Fort Wilderness. Once you get to FW, you have to take the internal bus system to the sing a long. We have had ADRs at Ohana before and had to wait over 30 minutes for a table, and if that happens, timing will become an issue for you! I have to say that the sing a long is great! And if you can make it, I think it is worth it! Good luck!

I agree with previous posters: Make the latest breakfast ADR and it will overlap lunch. We have done this before and it worked out great, since it was our main meal of the day.

I think you are unlikely to make it from a 5 PM Ohana ADR to FW campfire by PM. Too many variables are working against you:
1) Will you be seated on time?
2) Meal typically takes 90 minutes; would you even want to rush???
3) Travel time is 60 minutes easily because you have to take the internal bus too.

Thanks everyone. I'll keep trying to change my 'Ohana ADR - do you think 4pm would be OK? Are they open that early for dinner? Or should I switch to a late lunch instead?

I'm still undecided on CP but I guess still leaning towards doing the breakfast.

Thanks all!
Terri

'Ohana doesn't have a lunch sitting, and the first dinner one is 5 pm.

Really, both are good, but I think breakfast is always a safe bet. How bad can they mess that up?

Do Crystal Palace for breakfast !!!

It is one of the best breakfast buffets in disney world, and everyone raves about it. My family ALWAYS goes there for breakfast, and never one did we have a complaint. The food is so delicious! I have heard mixed reviews about the lunch food, however, so to guarantee a good meal I would definitely go with the breakfast!

I LOVE Crystal Palace breakfast!! Best breakfast in WDW, in my opinion!

If the ADR and the sing-a-long are really important to you, you could always catch a cab from the Poly to FW. It would likely only cost around $10....

we love having lunch at CP even my son loves the salad selection and the adult selection (my 5 yr old does not eat the normal kids selection). My husband LOVES the salmon and I love the dessert.
We are trying breakfast and dinner in our upcoming trip but we have eaten 5 lunches at CP and they were all good.

CP breakfast is the best one on property for sure! :) But I've also been there for lunch, and I loved it. Another reason that I would go with lunch would be because if you aren't going before park opening to breakfast, I really don't think it's worth it. However, the food at breakfast is considerably better. Also, 2 hours might be cutting it close, because there may be a considerable wait time even though you have an ADR. Also, you won't want to feel rushed.

Just throwing in my 2 cents on Ohana, being that you have the 5pm seating, the earliest you can get, if you arrive early, you will be seated quickly and you won't be waiting for others to finish eating before you can be sat. So I can't imagin having a 30 min wait to get into Ohana. I am not fimilar with the show so I can't comment there. But Goodluck!:)
