We're planning on doing universal 2/28. Land around 9:30, so won't probanly hit he parks until after naps time. Then a full day 3/1. There's a Mardi Gras concert 2/28.

It will be my, my DH and our3 yo son. We're mostly interested in the new Harry potter. We went 4 years ago to see the original hp, and we werre there on a raining Wednesday in January and it was dead. Everything was a total walk on.

Thinking to will be a little busier this time, but don't want to pay for express pass or rpr. Well probably stay at cabana bay and use early entry on 3/1.

Will we be ok without express pass? Since well be with our son, we likely won't even be attempting the big coasters. I'd be ok with juse hitting both Harry potter areas and suess land and meeting curious George. We can do the new minion or transformers ride that would be great too, but pretty much everything else we could be ok with skipping since we saw it all last time.

Any tips or other things a 2 year old might like?

Thanks!

You should be OK without express passes. With judicious use of a combination the Single Rider Line and rider swap you can probably hit come of the bigger rides as well. Despicable Me has non motion seats in the front so everyone can go on it. You may want to check with a TM about doing Rider Swap if both of you want to "ride" taking turn watching it up front in the Non Motion Seats with the DS. With just the 2 of you, the best bet for Transformers might be the single rider line unless you think your DS might enjoy the queue. One of you could ride transformers while the other does something with the DS than some time later swap the process.

My two year old loved: Curious George and Barney play areas, Shrek movie, Despicable Me movie (in a non-moving seat), Suess One Fish Two Fish ride, meeting any and ALL characters, watching Hulk coaster go above him, walking through Castle & Gringotts queues, Hogwarts Express, and most of all...he loved frozen Butterbeer. He had a blast!

The rider swap was great and he loved all of the lines and then watching a movie while we took turns riding with our oldest. The Transformers was one of his favorite lines.
