Two-Day Christmas strategy?

Hi all,

My 11-year-old daughter and I are coming down to WDW in early December for a short visit. We have two-day base tickets and tickets for the magic kingdom event. I’m just debating how to use our parks tickets.

Our favorite park is MK, so my inclination was to just make MK a full day with the park ticket and event ticket, but will we be able to knock out a bunch of rides during the event itself?

I’m also leaning Epcot for our second day, but I’m open to suggestions (though I’ll probably just let my daughter decide).

You chose the best part of December to visit WDW! I would certainly go for EPCOT if you haven’t gone on the new Test Track updates yet.

I’m very excited for the timing of our visit. Our last trip was over spring break and it was just so busy.

I’m really pulling for Epcot for day two, but I think any of the parks will be fun.

I would definitely include Epcot for the festival of holidays.

If you go to MK during the day, you'll be able to get a ton done by midday. Then you could go take a break and go back later for the party, and just focus on the party stuff.

I would lean towards Epcot, but I'm team epcot and no WDW trip is complete without it in my book.

If you have the time, I would actually visit MK on an entirely different day than the party so you get more hours in the park and are able to see the non-party fireworks and parade. If you go on your party day, you are essentially only getting about 7-8 hours of MK time on that regular day ticket before party-goers are allowed to enter at 4 pm. By using the base ticket on another day, you will get about 6-7 extra hours at MK. Personally, I would focus on rides on the non-party day and focus on party events and offerings during the party.

I would also vote for Epcot for your 2nd base ticket day. The holiday events there are wonderful, but, honestly, all of the parks are lovely that time of year.

I agree. So magic kingdom and take few hours to rest if you need for the party.

Second day I agree Epcot is great way to spend the day.
