Two Contracts - Payment of annual dues/maint fees

I have one contract I bought resale. If I add on through Disney, how will payment of my maint fees/annual dues work?

What I would like to do is pay all the fees upfront for one contract and do monthly debit for the other. Would they let you do that?

Also if I buy from Disney, will they put the same use year on my new contract as on my existing one?

not sure about paying the fees on the add-on. i would assume they would be paid the same as the master contract, but i could be wrong.

it would have to be the same UY month as your master contract, though. (unless you buy a new master contract of 160+ pts.)

Disney will sell add-on only in your same use year. Don't know if rule has changed but when we asked this question several years ago (actually about nine years ago) about an add-on, we were told all contracts in same use year must be subject to monthly withdrawal if you want monthly withdrawal at all, i.e., you cannot designate the add-on different from orginal contract. However, you can now, if desired, still pay the entire amount for the particular add-on contract at one time each year through your on-line DVC account, which allows you to advance pay at any time on each particular contract even if subject to monthly withdrawal and then the amount for the contract chosen will not be withdrawn from your bank account monthly.

When I added on at AKV, I set it up to pay the dues by monthly debit. My other contracts were set up to pay the dues as a lump sum and it was not a problem to leave them set up that way.

In the end, I decided to change the other contracts to monthly debit as well because it gives me flexibility. I have other annual bills that come due every January so it's nice to be able to delay full payment of the DVC dues. I can make monthly payments to DVC early in the year and then at some point just pay the balance as a lump sum, using up my Disney reward dollars in the process.
