I'm kinda 'new' around here (lurk alot but don't post much)...
It seems there are several separate Community Boards on this site and I'm wondering if someone can explain it to me.
The Podcast board is like it's own Community Board but only for people that post on that board.
The Budget board is like it's own Community Board but only for people that post on that board.
And this Community board is...well...I guess for people who post here.
It just seems strange that off-topic discussions are really going on everywhere. Some boards are moderated heavily, others are not moderated at all, and still others are allowed to more or less have their own rules.
I'm just a little confused at what seems like different standards for different boards and posters that are all supposed to be part of one community.

. Threads from elsewhere will show up with a bunch of posters on it that none of us who frequent this board have ever heard of. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is slightly confused when that happens, and wondering, "Who are all these people??
"
.
Usually they send them this way when they go "off-topic". Well then close it.
