Hello Everyone
Happy Thursday! Only one more working day and then its the weekend
So I thought I would share our engagement story with you all (hope you don't mind).
It was back in December 2008 and we had booked our second Disney vacation to go for the Christmas celebrations. Apart from Halloween, Christmas is my second favourite holiday of the year, the colours, the celebrations and I think the togetherness it brings. We were very excited to see Disney at Christmas and the decorations did not disappoint. We had chosen the second week in December as we had "heard" that it was "supposed" to be a quieter time of year, so we went with the expectation that it would be nice and manageable, but boy were we wrong, it was heaving with people! We were told that all resorts were booked to 90% capacity and that at one point on the trip MK had to be closed or cut off to guests because it was so busy they couldn't take any more people!

Now as most of you know we, esp me, do not like heavy crowds and it got to a point where I was not having a good time at all and wanted to go home (I think this was at least 4 days into a trip of 11 days).
Dave bless him tried his best to make the most of it and cheer me up, it also didn't help that I got ill which makes ones mood a tad worse when you're already in a mood
We were staying at Coronado Springs, which is a beautiful resort (but not one we will go back to) but we didn't feel the Magic like we did at CBR and that was another disappointment

One morning Dave suggested we go and get an early breakfast (it was about 7am or something like that) and go for a walk over to Pepper Market. I must admit that even though it was cold, we had the best morning that day and the lake at CSR looked gorgeous.
Isn't it beautiful? That was taken on a Blackberry and no touch ups made either!
So we are standing by the lake and David says that he knew it hadn't been the best start to our trip and that he wished he could make it better. He said that he loved me and that all he ever wants is for me to be happy because it makes him happy to see me smile

He then pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him

Of course I said yes there and then and from that point on the trip got a little better. I won't lie and say it was amazing because it was still tough at times, but the words that he said and the way he said them will always stay with me. I have found a keeper, my soul mate and best friend and cannot wait to marry him in September
Here are some pics of the ring, as I don't think I have really shared any with y'all.
So that's our little story, hope you enjoyed it
