Two brothers killed in seperate car accidents...

Two young men that my dd went to hs with were killed last night. I feel so badly for their parents. They had been together hanging with friends and had both headed for home (they both still lived at home with their dad). Cory left first and Rory followed a few minutes later. Rory had an accident and someone on the scene knew both boys so they immediately called Cory's cell to tell him about the accident. Cory turned around and before he could get to Rory he had an accident himself. The wrecks were less than five miles apart and within minutes of each other. Both young men died at the scenes of their accidents. It's just such a terrible tragedy for that family. My heart goes out to them.

In my town, many years ago, a guy was killed on his motorcyle. One year later, on the anniversary of his death, his brother was killed on his motorcycle. I see their mom around town, and can't imagine what it must be like for her.

That's terrible. Prayers go out to their family and friends. It's bad enough to lose one child, but two and at the same time? I don't think I could survive that kind of grief.

Oh dear God. I cannot imagine this family's grief. How could you get through that? Prayers said for the family and friends.

this is so sad and scary. I have twin sons. Oddly enough I worry about them more when they're going somewhere together. They've both had their licenses around a year and are still at times shaky drivers. I think in my head about how horrible it would be if one were in an accident and how much worst it would be if they were both in the car together. There are times when i try to keep them from driving together because of this. One son will be home next tues for holidays and I know they'll be driving together.
Here is an example of what I know in my heart is true. You have no control over some things. God has a timetable for everybody's final moments and mom's can't protect their kids from everything.
