two beds or one that is the question

I know this seems silly but I have to ask your opinion. I am planning my disneymoon and plan to stay at POR. I thought originally a king bed request as it is the disneymoon but it is $40-50 dollars more a night. We are staying 10 nights so that adds up quick. Plus this is looking at it from 2008 rates and we are going in 2009 so it will increase. I don't think its worth it to spend the money but it feels weird to have a second bed in the room. What do you think? Am I being ridiculous?

We have stayed at POR in king beds and it was nice the 2 beds are doubles and right their the king makes a difference. i think with a king (because of price) you can request a water view for no additional charge. There is also more floor space with a king, we also had a corner room so there was a front and a side window! HTH!

I would definately do a king again!

We had two beds at POR during our honeymoon. It was no big deal. We used it to store stuff (shopping). It would have been nice to have the king but not for that $$$.

I am in Disney resorts 6x a year at least (we have annual passes) and I have NEVER paid for the king bed. We just put a suitcase on the bed, or we deemed one the "sleep" bed and one the "sexy" bed

Remember, with it being your honeymoon, you always have the chance of getting an upgrade. DO NOT count on it, you know. But remember, it's a possibility. I'd personally book the standard room, and just use one, and like people said, use the other for suitcases, clothes, or just a "sexy" bed.

If you decide you want a king, though, book it. But if you're fine either way, I'd say book a standard, and if they upgrade you, then you get the king. If not, you were fine with either way to begin with.
