two bedrooms how many beds?

The second bedroom should have either two queens (dedicated unit) or a queen and a full size sleeper sofa (lock-off).

It depends on which resort.

OKW all two bedrooms have 2 queens in one and a King in the master.

All other resorts have lock off 2 BR that are a 1 BR+ a Studio - the Studio portion always has a Queen and a pull out sofa.

Some resorts have Dedicated 2 BR's, I know BCV and AKV do, I'm not sure about the others. Some dedicated 2 BR's have 2 queens in the second bedroom. You can request these but I don't think they are guaranteed.

At AKV, and I assume at other resorts with dedicated 2BR units (VWL, etc) the 2 different options are guaranteed booking categories. If you book a lockoff you should get a lockoff, if you need 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom then you have to go with a dedicated 2BR unit.

BWV's 2 bedrooms are all lockoff (1 king, 1 queen, 1 double sleeper plus queen sleeper in the living room).

Dedicated v. lock-off are not guaranteed bookings. Request dedicated and you can end up with lock-off, although if you request a lock-off you are virtually certain to get it because lock-off's make up more of the rooms at the resorts which also have dedicateds and most who make a specific request usually request a dedicated.

Didn't know that, I guess that's my one new thing learned for the day. My understanding was that since they offer the 2 options and it shows up as a dedicated 2BR on the confirmation letter then that is what you would get. Can someone else confirm this?

Yes you can book dedicated, where there is an option, you will be given a dedicated if you don't request it at booking.

Dedicated 2 bedrooms at DVC

OKW:= one king and 2 queens
SSR: same
VWL: same
AKL: same

BCV: some dedicated have one king and 2 queens, and some have one king and sofa bed and one queen.

BW: does not have any dedicated 2 bedrooms, therefore all are one king and one queen with sofa bed.

Dedicated v. lock-off are not guaranteed bookings.

They are supposed to be. At the time of booking the room is flagged as either a dedicated or lockoff in the reservation system. Not all resorts display this consistently on the printed confirmations, but it is tracked in their computers.

Whether or not the proper room is assigned by the front desk often depends upon the CM working. Some understand that if a "dedicated" is noted, the guest should be placed in a dedicated unit. Others don't appear to make any distinction between the two types.

Does the two bedroom have twin beds in one and king or queen in the other?

The second bedroom always sleeps four. The master bedroom always sleeps two. The living room will sleep two or three depending on the location (if there is the sleeper chair in the living room).

I made a reservation for AKV the other day, it specifically says "dedicated studio Jambo House". I didn't ask one way or the other but I like dedicated because noise can come through the connecting door.

While true to a degree, they are direct booking categories, it is not simply a request.
