I am preparing to book a trip for next October. Friends and I will be staying at the BCV. The five of us want a 2 Bedroom lock off for 5 nights. We (party of 2) will be leaving, but my friends will stay for another two nights. Will they be able to keep the same studio or will they have to check out and check back in?

Has anyone done something like this before?

Thanks!

It will depend on what other reservations are pending. If someone else has booked a 2 BR lock off and they need that one, your friends will have to move. I would hope for the best, but plan for the worst. You can mention it at check in, but it may not make any difference. It is 2 separate reservations.

It will be two separate reservations, but you need to make sure you are blocked into the same studio portion. Have it noted on both reservations and when you arrive, make sure you are blocked into the same studio. The names on both reservation should match if possible.

Will they guarantee that? I wouldn't think they would, but maybe you know better than me.

No, it will be noted as a request and not a guarantee, but this is a request that is commonly granted (and far simpler than going from a Studio to a 2BR).

As already suggested, have it noted on the reservation and also confirm the request at arrival and again the night prior to the studio reservation. I would also go to the desk early on the arrival day for the Studio to again repeat the request. (IMO, all of these face-to-face requests should be made with a HUGE smile on your face and with a true sense of the appreciation you'll have when the request is granted.)
